It's obviously fake. Look at the skeuomorphism on that wallpaper. The real wallpaper will look like this:

More room for Force Touch and the A9 chip should improve battery efficiently anyway so we're looking at the same battery life or even slightly better than the 6 and 6 Plus. That wallpaper is an optical illusion though, it can be seen as a fish or a flower!

I believe it's fake, look at the top of the phone image... only speaker and no camera/sensors? sorry but everytime apple put a real phone image in the boxes they are 100% replica of the real phone...

Doesn't indicate anything. If you have a 6 or 6 Plus, dig out the box. Do you see the camera on the front? No, just the speaker grill.

Fake, the previous box was embossed graphics on top. You wouldn't see phone outline like that. Also the font isn't the same as previous releases and with the change to the new font in iOS9 it still doesn't look right.

Why don't they just improve the battery efficiency in the processor, AND leave the current size battery in? Make the back of the phone flush with the camera lens in order to have more room for the battery. You'd be able to lay it on a table with no wobbling, have more battery life, and probably easier to hold phone with the added bit of thickness.

Why does this have more than 20 likes? They can't leave the same battery in and add Force Touch, the slightly reduced battery is so that they can implement Force Touch.

The battery life of the iPhone is dire, the one thing along side the dated Icon UI that I want fixed. My iPhone 5s wouldn't even last me the day and my G/Fs iPhone 6+ isn't much better as it should be. Meanwhile my Xperia Z3c will easily get me through 3 days and battery saver gets me 5 days... while that is unique on Android, most other ones I used would get me 2 days.

The problem with the iPhone is, while you can idle the battery nicely, as soon as you do anything with it, there isn't the capacity there. Having looked at battery benchmarks for the Galaxy Note 5, when being used the iPhone is quite low on the list.

1 day.. we will have substantial gains in battery life..

Only when Sir Ive's obsession with thin wanes.
I can't help but think that, had they made the device thick enough to be flush with the camera bump, a larger battery could have been accommodated. Seems like form won over function.

There will be a battery saver feature in iOS 9, right? That and efficiency in the CPU should result in better real world battery usage. My GF won't be upgrading (at least not until she looses or breaks her current iPhone 6, and even then warranty will probably be used for replacement 6). But she has to have a battery case to get through a full day and it isn't even close.

The current 6 suits me fine as far as battery life is concerned. I never go through a complete charge in under 24 hours.

I think putting smaller batteries in a device is the last thing any phone manufacturer needs to do. Thinness doesn't matter when you have to charge your phone multiple times in a day.

Why cant they? So they can't make the case slightly thicker to accommodate the extra thickness of the force touch instead of making battery thinner? BTW I suspect this is all bunk anyway but we will know soon.

Why would they go from "iPhone 5s" to ":apple: iPhone" to "iPhone 6s" in the side of the box? Why didn't they just leave the "6" (as well as the front image of the phone) in the iPhone 6's box?

The :apple: is missing from the side of the box like the current one, so I'm gonna say it's fake.

He 6 and 6 plus are the first box that doesn't have an actual image of the phone. This actually looks like an image of the device.

The one consistent feedback on this list is a request for battery capacity at the expense of thickness and mass. The one thing Apple does relentlessly is trade thickness for battery and mass even to the extent of having a protruding camera. They are actively not listening.

I have repeatedly suggested a simple option for a larger internal battery for +$100 on at least one model. Repeatedly. Repeatedly.

your response is not in line with what the poster suggested. What was suggested is to make the phone thicker (flush with the camera) in order to accommodate a larger battery.

In sure someone who knows something about battery calculations could actually figure out how much this would improve battery life. It may not be that much, I don't know.

That's an interesting suggestion that I could get on board with. For $100, though, I think I would need something close to double the battery life, at the least.

The box has had quite a few overhauls over the years. Plenty of indicators that this could be fake, but I don't consider this one of them c
