This is most likely the first sketchy rumor that we have heard about how Apple may introduce iPhone 14 Mini.

It’s too bad it’s just a Sketchy rumor. I know for a fact if iPhone 14 Mini was introduced it would have been appreciated by so many people.

all 3% of us.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I think Apple wants all the iPhone Mini users to be vested with the “SE” model. It’s smaller, cheaper and more compact.

yeah but not "$429" cheaper.
they've established the price floor around $400. going to be really hard to move away from that, and to get the mini there.

One statement about the iPhone mini line: Apple keeps updating the iPad mini. Not every year, but new models keep being released.

I’ve never complained about battery life on a single iPhone ever. And as the phones got bigger and bigger, I increasingly grew a desire for a “mini“ iPhone. When it was released, I was ecstatic. But within three months the battery seemed like such a drag by five or 6 PM every day I was fighting for the last bit of juice. Six months in my battery health was at 88%, and Apple said this was normal after viewing the data. I was super bombed and upgraded to the 13 pro from that 12 mini.

Mine did the same thing. The 12 series phones all seem to have batteries that deteriorated very quickly. I have a feeling there’s going to be a service program in a couple years, just like the 6s. After I end up getting rid of mine, of course.

You should’ve gotten a 13 mini. The battery in mine is holding up a lot better than the 12 mini. Still at 99% health. The 12 mini was at 92% by this point in its life.

The mini has the same major guts (except for the screen) as the larger iPhone and by space limitation a smaller battery. Surprise, surprise! So naturally, there is less useful time with a smaller battery. That is a no brainer.

If one wants an all day iPhone (like 18 hours of use) then get the largest model with the biggest battery. Pretty simple, really.

I’m just playing around with an old 4S….man if that had a full screen display in that little chassis, THAT is my ideal ‘mini’..

I don't think there will be a 14 mini, though I wonder if mini and max models could alternate years? So 13 and 13 mini, 14 and 14 max, 15 and 15 mini, 16 and 16 max... that would allow Apple to offer a 2 year upgrade cycle to both sets of customers. The biggest problem with that would be if the Max is extremely popular as big screens seem to be what people want more and more.

Terrible LCD!!!? I’m composing this from my SE3, LCD seems to work perfectly well thanks. There is plenty of space in the market for phones that don’t encompass bleeding edge display technology. And when I compare my display to some of my colleagues it’s hard to tell much of a difference….
OLED isn't bleeding edge, The Galaxy S2 had a better screen in 2011....

I imagine Apple will reuse the chassis of the mini and name it new iPhone SE and a last ditch the home button altogether.
