It will be interesting to see how the two compare.

I was on the ferry a couple of months ago and saw a passenger wearing a VR headset. It was quite jarring to realize that they were completely disconnected from the world around them. This is the beginning of a new age of anti-social behaviour. Instead of faces in phone screens, it will be faces in headset screens, literally!

But on the plus side, this will be huge for some industries like medical. Imagine a doctor being able to "go inside" one's body and see things in true living detail. And it should take fitness to a whole new level of actually being part of the session virtually.

that's pretty bold. all his stuff would be stolen around here while wearing one.

I can't wait for the crowd *gasp* when either they reveal the sticker price or some add-on price ala the Studio Pro display stand - love how he quickly threw it back to Tim.

Six shades of lightly-tinted silver, or six actual colors? That’s the real question.

It was crazy that they thought people would spend over $10,000 for a device that would be obsolete in a few years. I guess you're not buying it for the tech in that case, but you might as well buy a gold mechanical watch then.

Ironically, the original Apple Watch is the fastest AW to stop receiving OS support and updates. Buying the $10K gold AW didn't help either.

Absolutely not happening. One color, maybe a couple storage capacities at most. This will be a very niche product to start and not worthy of a dozen SKUs.
Agree totally. I even wonder if there will be more than one storage level with the complexity involved in assembly. Make one model that works, one color and the “colors” can all be headbands/etc that are interchangeable.

If this is primarily a developers device anyway, special color finishes and storage levels could wait until it gets more refined and consumer ready.

No one is going to buy it. THAT will be the problem. Well, my dad will buy it because he buys EVERYTHING Apple makes. He is 95. So, there is ONE sale! Now excuse me, I gotta go and get immersed in some REAL NATURE!

More colour options are always good. Though don't know how many Apple will sell with a high price tag.

I actually saw a second hand Gold Apple Watch 0 in CEX in London. I still wonder about that. Someone will too much money, I guess.

We've heard rumours of two different headsets: one that is going to compete with the mainstream VR headsets ("reality one") and one that is going to be targeted at the pro/luxury market (the rumoured $3000 "reality pro").

My guess is that this rumor applies to the mainstream, lower cost version (sub-$1000 starting price?).

I've got to say that if the real thing looks anything like this, it will be a massive leap over existing products.

With all the rumored specs, I’d pay up to 4500 for this device. It’s an instabuy for me

I'd shoot that down instantly. Apple doesn't use colours as a way to sell products but a subliminal way to upsell.

Consider how they released the 10th gen iPad in a series of fisher-price colours so adults will buy the Air model or that the 'Pro' iPhone does not come in anything other than very muted tones.
