It will be interesting to see how the two compare.
I was on the ferry a couple of months ago and saw a passenger wearing a VR headset. It was quite jarring to realize that they were completely disconnected from the world around them. This is the beginning of a new age of anti-social behaviour. Instead of faces in phone screens, it will be faces in headset screens, literally!
But on the plus side, this will be huge for some industries like medical. Imagine a doctor being able to "go inside" one's body and see things in true living detail. And it should take fitness to a whole new level of actually being part of the session virtually.
Not a chance if it is equipped with all those cameras.I think Apple is trolling leakers with the $3000 price. My guess is under $1k
It was crazy that they thought people would spend over $10,000 for a device that would be obsolete in a few years. I guess you're not buying it for the tech in that case, but you might as well buy a gold mechanical watch then.
Agree totally. I even wonder if there will be more than one storage level with the complexity involved in assembly. Make one model that works, one color and the “colors” can all be headbands/etc that are interchangeable.Absolutely not happening. One color, maybe a couple storage capacities at most. This will be a very niche product to start and not worthy of a dozen SKUs.
Why would a $3k device, allegedly targeting devs, be available in multiple color options?
It won’t. Apple targets consumers, it’ll come in one color option and start at $2,499.
Monday fun day? 🤪

That's exactly what I thought when I read the article. This is one of those false rumors that Apple tracks their leaks with.
With Tim Cook being known for decades as Apple’s supply chain guru, there’s no way they introduce that many SKU’s on such a low volume product that also costs as much to make as this thing does. That's exactly what I thought when I read the article.
When was the last time they did black and white for an aluminum device?
