So Apple decided to sell this iPad knowing jelly scrolling was an issue? And now rumors are out there claiming 120hz rate will fix it?
I think Macrumors stated, that is to "fix the issue", not Apple. I think that Apple usually doesn't confess to mistakes very easily. Like here in Japan, we do not usually admit mistakes to customers, not to upset them they didnt get the best thing available :) As an European, living in Japan, I sometimes wonder.

Btw, how comes I didn't notice until now, that you are so beautiful? What is the world coming to, when man can miss such an important fact :)

RUMOR: Display on 1st gen hardware revision will improve in a future revision!

I smell class-action coming on.
Yes, a class action because the content on the right side of the screen updates milliseconds later than the left when rapidly scrolling safari in a specific screen orientation - useless garbage!

It will not resolve the issue unless they switch to a global refresh. My 11" iPad Pro With ProMotion™ , my MacBook Pro M1 (13") my 15" 2015 MacBook Pro, and all other IPS / TN panel Apple devices I own do this. All has to do with how the display scans.

Yes it is more noticeable at the perspective and size the Mini has, but the MacBook Pro 13" is FAR worse, especially when swiping through photos, or swiping across spaces.

What's a bit baffling about this is the previous generation iPad mini doesn't do this according to The Verge and others. Maybe this was the best/only panel Apple could get for the size they wanted?

It's a very, very Apple thing to do though for users to find a problem, Apple to state there isn't a problem, and then "fix" the "not problem" in the next iteration.
This is why I never ever ever buy a first gen Apple product.

Still, you got two weeks to test new products out, so you better USE them.

There is NO NEED for 120hz to get rid of jelly effect. You don't have to double the refresh rate ,stupidest thing I have ever seen.just gotta pick some less cheap displays .if u keep the same kind of display you will have jelly effect ,but at 120hz. Smart

I've tried for days to get a new iPad mini, but here in San Diego, NO real availability in Apple Stores !

Delivery specifies Dec 6th - 13th :(

hey folks, it's only a rumor... and a sketchy one at that. How do we know? The "experts" here told us that jelly scrolling is a natural characteristic of screen technology and that even their 12.9" iPad Pro with 120 Hz refresh rate exhibits jelly scrolling. ;)

While I personally would very much like an iPad Pro Mini/Mini Pro with 120Hz refresh, it would probably suffice if they moved the display controller to the top, so jelly scrolling only appears in landscape (and not in portrait as it does now).

Sketchy aka stating the obvious evolution of this product given the likely 2, more likely 3 year refresh cycle.

I smell class-action coming on.
You’re going to have to explain that one to me.
“Ya I’m just going to sue Apple because a 60 Hz LCD doesn’t refresh content the way I want it to.”
Hint: you can’t file a class action lawsuit because you don’t like a certain aspect of a product.
Someone already tried that with the iPhone notch, it didn’t go well.
The second that Apple can prove that literally all LCDs have some form of jelly scroll even if it’s less apparent, the entire lawsuit will be thrown out.
Just like how the footnotes on the iPhone page always explain The rounded corners and camera cut out, and have since 2017 when it was first introduced.
