Being Samsung i wonder if that means it would be an 120hz OLED screen
Apple has their own design and patents on the promotion 120Hz OLED used in the iPhones. They contract the construction to Samsung and others. Not saying that these would be the same, but don’t assume that it is just Samsung tech.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this, I think this form factor will be around for several generations and other than storage, chip and camera upgrades and colour changes, there's not much else they can do with it.

I think the Air wouldn't have had its screen size increased for two successive generations were it not for the white spot issue carrying over (to a lesser extent it seems) from the Pro into the Air.

An interesting question to ask - Do all of the users complaining here actually own the iPad mini 6? A more interesting question - How many users actually have real world use cases that would involve rapidly scrolling the display up and down? An even more interesting question - How many users actually discovered the jelly scrolling issue by themselves without reading about it anywhere?

All the above questions would answer whether it is an issue or a non-issue.

I feel the real issue is switching the display controller from top-bottom to left-right. That is a poor implementation and the result of jelly scrolling even if it is observed very rarely, does not justify Apple having an increased price point of 499$/649$. Knowing the issue, Apple should have brought down the price point to its original price of 399$/549$.

- Many users (including myself) cancelled orders after seeing the issue in person themselves.
- The rapid scrolling just highlights the issue and makes it easier for people who don't see it in normal situations to see it. Other people (again like myself) notice an issue in regular use.
- Not sure, I did know about it even before I saw it myself. However in just regular use trying it out I would have noticed something "off" about it as it is hard on my eyes/brain and gives me a headache.

I've owned over a dozen different iPads including 3 different minis (original, 2 and 4) and this is the first one I've had this issue with. I was extremely disappointed as the iPad mini 6 was the most excited I've been for an iPad in quite a while. I've been without a newer mini for a while as I give my 4 to my mom (and took back the 2) in anticipation of the next model that just seemed to keep getting delayed.

Received launch day iPad Mini - noticed the jelly scroll immediately and thought "WTF", so I came to the forums to see if this was a known issue, low and behold it was already being discussed. It was distracting enough I had to return it and it was very noticeable (+ irritating) without speed scrolling. Poor effort Apple - Nul points.

>>> Definitely not all of them, but I'd argue this jelly effect is so painfully obvious, complains are going to pop up.

>>> Such as, skimming a TLDR article? Scrolling over a long list of something? Even just browsing through family photos taken since the last trip? Jelly effect appears in those scenarios as well.
An even more interesting question - How many users actually discovered the jelly scrolling issue by themselves without reading about it anywhere?
>>> I read through jelly effect, but I only got chance to "see it in action" so to speak today, and I don't need to pay much attention to see the jelly effect. It's painfully obvious, I don't think many would miss it.
