Interesting. But 24 Hz isn’t likely to be the most popular format for any movie.
Actually I believe most movies are shot at that frame rate. Your tv may switch to it automatically without you knowing. I believe much of netflix's movies will go to 24 HZ. It is the preferred frame rate for movies

What ticks me off the most is that no news site even here verified there sources. They just believed the fake news.

It actually doesn't matter ... the reality is, Apple lead the introduction of the ATV 4K with the prospect that Amazon would finally bring their app to the platform. There was already a rumor that the app was planned for the release and then got pushed back. Apple then chose to announce it would be available "later this year". The bottom line for me, is that the app was an important part of their announcement, so important they commented on it before it was even available to demo at the event (something I don't think they've ever done before), and ultimately it wasn't ready for release when it should have been. So it sort of doesn't matter whether someone picked an arbitrary unverified date close to the end of the year, or not. The app should have been ready to go from day one, or Apple shouldn't have commented on it, unless it was a done deal. If it were a done deal, then Apple could provide updates to all the customers who bought the ATV 4K solely because the Amazon app was promised to them. As it is, there's nothing but silence coming out of Cupertino. So every day that app is delayed is just more cause for anger and disappointment. And the longer Apple waits, dragging the release out to the very last week of the time frame they specified in their launch presentation, the more that anger and resentment is going to grow, regardless of this unverfied date passing or not.

During WWDC in June, Apple finally confirmed that Amazon Prime Video will launch as an app for Apple TV users sometime "later this year." Since that announcement, a few rumors and theories have predicted launch dates for the app, all of which have subsequently been passed by with no official debut of Amazon Prime Video on the tvOS App Store.

Another sketchy rumor has been shared on the Apple TV Subreddit this week by a user who claims to work for Amazon, pointing towards a late October launch for the app. The user -- AmazonVideoEngineer -- originally created the Reddit account to share a post a few weeks ago, which stated that October 26 would be the "earliest" date that Amazon would launch its app on Apple TV.

Now, the same user has shared a "quick update" on the app, mentioning that the app is "still on track" for an October 26 debut. AmazonVideoEngineer is "very confident" that this date is "finally the day" Amazon will launch its Apple TV app. Check out both posts below:

Because the rumor comes from an unconfirmed Reddit source, this October 26 date should be approached with a heavy dose of skepticism. Previous rumors surrounding Amazon's Apple TV app centered around logical events that the app could have debuted alongside of -- Thursday Night Football, the Amazon hardware event in September -- but October 26 appears to be a somewhat random date.

Since we're now four months out from WWDC and Apple's confirmation of the Amazon Prime Video app for Apple TV, we should hopefully hear an announcement of the app's launch date sometime soon.

[doublepost=1511971196][/doublepost]It’s now the end of November and we still have no Amazon Prime in sight on our Apple TV like Apple and Amazon promised. Seems time that Apple TV users start thinking about a class action lawsuit against Apple and Amazon for breaching contract!

Subscribed. I've been wondering when this was going to happen....sounds like the same thing that happened with AirPods, HomePod, and now another unfulfilled promise. Guess we should enable root without a password and then maybe Apple get things done as promised. There is a reason that I no longer work for them...this being at the top of the list. Over promise, under deliver.

...and the next day the TV OS App store has Amazon Prime and it's been added to my Apple TV3 as well!

Well that's egg on my face.

That is egg right? ... ummm... yeah
