I guess I hit someone's nerve. You work at Skyfire? One can't ignore that they didn't think through before they put this crap up for sale. I'm sure they realized they would run into a problem, but they just wanted to make a quick buck. If they wanted to limit their server use, they would've limit the app to one country.
No, it's just you obviously put no thought into your comment. Without being in their shoes, you have no way to judge them intelligently. You have no idea what thought and calculations and why they did what they did. You're just standing on the outside....uninformed...calling them idiots. Makes you look bad honestly.
And why limit to one country when they can just limit to 10,000 downloads?
This shows that they did put some thought into it, but it still sold faster than they expected.
"Skyfire has historically generated high demand for its browser products but nothing like this," states Skyfire CEO Jeffrey Glueck. "It was hard to predict consumer demand since this was our first paid app, but we were blown away by the demand and sales."
And if you know anything about Skyfire, you know they aren't around for a quick buck. I was on a waitlist to get it on my old WM phone before I gave up and bought an iPhone. And no, I'm not a fanboy, I'm not planning to buy it as Mobile Safari works fine for me. I don't need flash.
