Hopefully Microsoft will change it when they take over.
No, it still has two buttons to add a new contact.Has the atrociousness that is the UI revamp been fixed?
You know, Skype has thrown in a bonus feature for those switching between 2.8 and 5.x if you have Soundflower installed. Whenever you start version 2.8 after having run version 5.x (and vice versa), it switches the sound input from the internal microphone to Soundflower (meaning nobody will hear you). You then have to correct this in Skype's preferences. But the next time you launch the other version, it is back to Soundflower.nope. Image here looks the same as before. Dont want from update 2.8.
I use it for all my phone calls. A flat rate of €3.3/month to all landlines in Europe is really cheap.Does anyone actually use Skype for anything other than to call someone else who has Skype to tell them they are using Skype?

How is this better?

When the UI is fixed and I stop hearing about Skype security vulnerabilities every other week I might consider updating. 'Till then... nope.
Crystal clear HD quality ? Crystal clear high definition quality? Really? Sounds sooooo microsoft.
Yes.
I use it all day every day for business as well as personal use and I don't have a webcam.
Skype is much more than video calling...
must be a european thing. I dont think anyone in the U.S. uses Skype for anything other than its novelty.
And it would be nice if the newer MBA had a HD camera to actually be able to use it...
