I guess with that clock the card is pushing close to the speed of the GTX260/HD4890 and should run very well at 900p res.
The thing is, this game has to also be able to run on a ps3 and an xbox 360. Both of those are using 5+ year old parts. I have a feeling that the game will run on lower specced computers, but it will be on the lowest settings.
I'm not sure why people keep assuming that because the games are coming out for the consoles the computer version will support even low end systems. There is no logic in that. The consoles versions are made to run specifically on those machines. They have too as otherwise they would not get through the approval process.
The same doesn't apply to the PC/Mac versions where they will design them to make use of the top of the range hardware. That said they should run on lower end systems with the settings turned down but that doesn't mean it can be assumed they will run on low end systems just because they are also being released on consoles.
That´s basically what i was thinking 🙂 Clocks seem to be stable for now as well, my max temperature (for like a few seconds only) was 93°C, usually more like 80°C 😉
If all goes well, i should have a lot of fun with a maxed out Skyrim 😀
For those wondering, I'm running Skyrim on high with 8xaa and af. The game is just gorgeous, very pleasantly surprised.

the game isn't even released yet. lol. check out information. for steam version, it will be unlocked tonight (11/10) 9PM (PST).
anyway, 2010 macbook with 320M could play it. but you will remain as lower setting because 320M is not dedicated graphic card. but don't believe me. you have to try it out first. it's like Intel HD 3000 memory share chip. Apple worked with NVIDIA in order to offer better graphic performance on macbook. so 320M is more likely customized chip for only Apple.
used an aussie vpn to download it early from steam, i've been playing all morning on this comp. ****ING INCREDIBLE game, but i think that goes without saying. i only stopped playing because i'm so exhausted. thank god i'm off from work next week...
can't say how the 320M is going to handle skyrim, i'd guess low settings too though
Early 2011 MBP 17" plays it easily on full res High and a little jittery on Ultra.

And what's the average FPS do you think you are playing with?
I have an early 2011 MBP 15inch which is almost identical to your 17inch.
If the game runs smoothly on yours, mine should handle it alright as well.

It defaulted to Ultra settings but I'm a fan of a smooth frame rate so I dropped to High. No AA. 2560x1440. Runs like a charm! 60fps everywhere minus a few dips to 40fps during some busy village scenes.
Although the problem at this res (with all games) is you see how poor most games actually look up close. This huge display is a curse.

I am playing on a macbook pro 2011 listed in my signature and the game defaulted to 1440x900 which is native res and HIGH settings. It plays really well with no slowdown or issues of any sort so far.

I have early-2008 Macbook Pro, though have upgraded it with more RAm and an SSD recently, and would be interested to know if it will run Skyrim passably e.g. what fps can I expect?

2.5Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo (has 6Mb level 2 cache, instead of the 3Mb in the 2.4Ghz)
6Gb RAM
GeForce 8600M GT VRAM (Total):512 MB (i.e. more than the 2.4Ghz model has)

OS for Skyrim: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I don't really know about PC gaming, I bought the Mac because I'm travelling a lot with work, and wanted my game fix without lugging the Xbox.
I've installed windows, and the bootcamp drivers as well as AMD catalyst and I'm struggling to get 15 frames a second on 1440x900 at low detail, changing the resolution to 720 gives the same results.
Can anyone give me any help, id very much appreciate it. I need my elder scrolls fix, as you probably all understand.

No one can really tell you this unless you can find someone that has bought it with the same hardware. If it does play its going to be all on the lowest settings I would imagine.
Because it is older you will have a harder time finding people that have tried it. All I can suggest is that you buy a copy and try it, since there is no demo its impossible to say!

Sounds like you have the same computer as me.
My windows install is very minimal, Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.
I installed windows, installed bootcamp drivers. Then I updated to AMD catalyst version 11.10 which was the battlefield 3 beta drivers.
Run windows update and make sure you have all the updates installed.
Right click on Computer and go to properties, then select device manager, you can also access this from control panel. Make sure that nothing has a red X or exclamation point on it. Check that the video card it is using is the AMD 6750.

Can some of you guys playing the game give us a review of the game as it relates to Oblivion?
I really loved Morrowind, but could never get it to play without crashing. Then I got Oblivion, but never finished it, because I ruined my own gaming experience trying to be everything in one toon and got bored.
Is everything the same, but better engine?
Is a pure caster character viable?
Do you prefer Skyrim over Oblivion? Why?
How are the voices? Do people wind up having 4 different voices in the same conversation?
Is the game actually fun or is it just fun having another new large, open world to explore?

I tested the game briefly on my 2010 i5 15" with 330M. Quality is set to medium, resolution @1440x900. Game runs somewhere around 20-40 fps.

One kid sounds like a proper 1960's american kid, the woman next door sounds Scandinavian by way of Belfast[/B]
