Can some of you guys playing the game give us a review of the game as it relates to Oblivion? I've only played a bit of Oblivion but so far Skyrim seems more focussed.
I really loved Morrowind, but could never get it to play without crashing. Then I got Oblivion, but never finished it, because I ruined my own gaming experience trying to be everything in one toon and got bored. What's a toon?
Is everything the same, but better engine? Pretty much. The environmental effects are sublime, though. Best I've seen in any game
Is a pure caster character viable? Seems to be.
Do you prefer Skyrim over Oblivion? Why? Easier to get into and better learning curve, Skyrim seems more cinematic too
How are the voices? Do people wind up having 4 different voices in the same conversation? IMO the voices are very off-putting. Characters have one accent each but they're so weird and varied. One kid sounds like a proper 1960's american kid, the woman next door sounds Scandinavian by way of Belfast
Is the game actually fun or is it just fun having another new large, open world to explore? So far the map seems smaller and environments don't change much.
