Sleeping position?

In what position do you guys and girls usually fall asleep?

I usually fall asleep on my stomach, but occasionally will do so on my side. I don't really have a preference as to which side I'm facing; I usually flop back and forth. I find it hardest to fall asleep laying on my back.

on my left or right side. sometimes i awake on my back. i used to sleep on my stomach when i was a kid but now i just find it uncomfortable.

I start out sleeping on my side. Left or right, it doesn't matter. I have a lot of shoulder pain, so I'll roll between the sides for a while then eventually end up on my back when I wake up.

I preferably fall asleep on my right side with my knees kind of half-tucked up and my right hand underneath the pillow (I just laid down in bed to check on that ), but I can fall asleep easily and quickly in just about any position. I found my side sleeping position out of necessity, as I stay extremely still while I sleep. It's to the point that if I fall asleep on my stomach I will sometimes wake up at night from some kind of pressure that was fine when I fell asleep but became very painful after 8 hours of exactly the same position.

anyone find that in the morning when you awake youre in the most comfortable position possible? as thats the how youve slept for 8 hours. ahhh love that feeling… even better when you can drift off back to sleep if you dont have any commitments

But yea. Stomach here. I've slept in the same position ever since I was a kid. On my stomach, head facing left, left arm under pillow right arm under stomach. Can never sleep on my back.

i do that pretty much every morning when i'm sleeping alone...i don't really move at night.

but i never get to drift back to sleep.

If you have shoulder pain your mattress is too soft for you. (Your back is sinking lower than your shoulders).

When shopping for a new mattress, I was informed by the sales clerk that most men sleep on their stomach, while the majority of women sleep on their side.
