(My apologies if this has been asked recently. Search didn't turn up anything.)

In what position do you guys and girls usually fall asleep?

I usually fall asleep on my stomach, but occasionally will do so on my side. I don't really have a preference as to which side I'm facing; I usually flop back and forth. I find it hardest to fall asleep laying on my back.

I start out sleeping on my side. Left or right, it doesn't matter. I have a lot of shoulder pain, so I'll roll between the sides for a while then eventually end up on my back when I wake up.

I preferably fall asleep on my right side with my knees kind of half-tucked up and my right hand underneath the pillow (I just laid down in bed to check on that :p), but I can fall asleep easily and quickly in just about any position. I found my side sleeping position out of necessity, as I stay extremely still while I sleep. It's to the point that if I fall asleep on my stomach I will sometimes wake up at night from some kind of pressure that was fine when I fell asleep but became very painful after 8 hours of exactly the same position.

    Face down, fast asleep.

If I wake up facing the wife I know it's going to be a bad day!

I was planning on asking this :D

But yea. Stomach here. I've slept in the same position ever since I was a kid. On my stomach, head facing left, left arm under pillow right arm under stomach. Can never sleep on my back.

Sleep on the back. Spooning sometimes if dating.

If you have shoulder pain your mattress is too soft for you. (Your back is sinking lower than your shoulders).

Stomach mostly... usually I wake up on my right side though.. When I was little I'd wake up sideways on my bed with head and arms hanging in space. Ah, those were the days!

Either on my back or on my side facing the nearest wall.

When sleeping on my side the arm I'm not sleeping on falls asleep.

I sleep on my stomach at night, but have no problems sleeping on my back for a quick nap.

When shopping for a new mattress, I was informed by the sales clerk that most men sleep on their stomach, while the majority of women sleep on their side.

I can never get to sleep when lying on my back. My personal favourite is the 'running-man'.

Yea I'm the same napping. I can never sleep for long on my back so I can't do that at night.

When I take a nap it's different, yeah - I usually lay back on my bed with my feet off the edge and my arms over face. I sleep like a baby's behind... er...
