Left, or right, to get to sleep. After that, who knows.

I remember having to sleep on my back in the hospital for a couple of nights. God, it was Heaven when I could finally roll onto to my side. Almost better than sex.

Sleeping 8 hours in one position??? That can't be good.

I feel most comfortable sleeping on my back. But occassionally I snore when sleeping on my back. And when that happens, the noise of my own snoring sometimes wakes me up. So then I turn onto my stomach. But when I sleep on my stomach, I find I drool and wet the pillow.

On my back. My CPAP mask tends to lose it's seal if I sleep on my side, which sucks because about 2-3am I get uncomfortable on my back and try to switch to my side, but then my wife pokes me because the leaking air wakes her up.

I freaking hate my CPAP mask.

It helps to try out different types of masks. (Expensive, I know.) My husband has used 4 now and found one that stays on when he sleeps on his side. But then again, leaks don't bother me.

Yeah, I just need to go back to the sleep center and see what else they have.

I have to sleep on my back. If I sleep on my sides, my arms fall asleep.

Just spotted this one :) if I sleep with my arm above my head it will fall asleep too. Only did it for the first time last week... whole thing was numb. Really odd sensation that and took a good while to get back to normal. Must have been like that for hours :D

What are you using now? Nasal pillow, or do you have something more involved?

I just got the new Swift LT that came out a couple months ago, and it's much nicer. The body is shaped such that it interferes with your side sleeping much less than the Mirage II ever did.

I have a full face mask at 9 cm of pressure. It works well, but I find myself pulling it off in the middle of the night.

I am chronically congested, so nasal pillows do not work for me, unfortunately.

Oy, I'm getting 12cm. Fun stuff.

Have you tried one of those CPAP pillows? I haven't broken down and bought one yet, but I'm just about there.

I'm close to getting one, too.

I know some folks that swear by them.

I don't have a ton of problems with mine losing it's seal when i sleep on my side.

My main problem is that I drool a little when I sleep, so if I don't sleep just right I get a little pool of drool in the mask and end up throwing it off in disgust when the cold drool wakes me up.

It certainly gets in the way of spontaneous sexy time, too. :D

I sleep on my stomach. I can not sleep on my back at all.

I been sleeping on my stomach for over 25 years (since I was a new born)

I mainly fall asleep on my stomach. I sleep with two pillows- hard on the bottom, medium/soft on the top with my head on the lower part of the pillow. My right arm is under the pillows, and my left arm is under my head with my head facing left. Most of the time I wake up on my side. Sometimes, depending on the weather, I wake up on the side with my quilt and sheets wrapped around me like a cocoon. It takes great skill to unravel myself in the morning. :D

Here's a drawing on how I normally sleep (not to scale):

On my back, as I have to use a CPAP machine at night.

Edit - As noted about the pillows, you can also sleep on the edge of one, where the mack is off the edge. I tend to end up there during the night, and it isn't an issue.

I fall asleep on my side (usually my left to prevent heartburn) but wind up on my back during the night (so I've been told) then back on my side before waking up. I hate when I've slept all night and not moved at all, I'm well rested but my body is too sore to enjoy it.

Alone (representing 99.9999% of the time) on the very very very very very edge of my bed, usually on my tummy.
If I manage to drug or get a man drunk enough, I try to lay on his chest which usually sobers him up. :p

I sleep on my side, have forever.....I don't think it is healthy though, have had a lot of shoulder injuries ( dislocations) and such, but idk if its related to sleeping on my side for 18 years. I lay on my stomach, my back hurts, i lay on my back and i just cant sleep so the side is the way to go.

Sorry what... :p

Side/belly for me, usually right side, I'm slightly deaf in my left ear, so if i lie on my right side, I hear less, meaning it's harder for me to get woken up by early morning traffic.

I toss and turn between one side, my back, and the other for about an hour before I finally fall asleep. I never remember which position I fall asleep in though.
