That is a little weird. Maybe the yellow tint wears off over extensive screen on times? I mean, the demo units' displays are on almost nonstop. Probably not, but just a thought.

That is a little weird. Maybe the yellow tint wears off over extensive screen on times? I mean, the demo units' displays are on almost nonstop. Probably not, but just a thought.
It doesn't wear off over time. This isn't some adhesive or glue; it's due to the uneven backlighting. Also, keep in mind that color uniformity is hardest to spot at maximum brightness. All the store units have brightness maxed out and are under special lighting that makes the display look its best.
The best way to look for screen uniformity is to lower the brightness and view it in a dimly lit room.
Nope, I have no intention of of jailbreaking.
As above, while this may mask the issue, it will not cure a hardware problem. Jailbreak isn't the answer to a yellow screen.
Father's iPhone 6 128gb gold just been delivered to me this morning I'm already processed a return back to the Apple store online for a replacement.
Two faults with the phone is the screen is yellow on the top only (Compared with my iPhone 6+ and iPhone 6 both are white as a paper.)
Another fault is battery full charge capacity only showing 1300MAH very strange.

Been on the phone to Apple. They've offered me a express replacement device with confirmation in writing and telephone that it will be a brand new sealed device as opposed to a refurbished unit. Thanks for all the help guys
Question what build week was your iPhone mine was week 38 September.
Phone ordered on 24th December came with iOS 8.0 Very early batch.
Return it.... You obviously have an issue with the phone, obviously aren't happy (wouldn't be here asking for advice if you were) so return it and be done with it.
Keeping investors happy is the job of ANY company, not just Apple!

I have that same shadowing at the top of my iPhone 6, but it is minimal and I elected not to exchange it. Otherwise my screen is white and even. From what I have read here and observed on most demos in the Apple store, many of the iPhone 6 devices have this.

So I've just received the replacement device. I'm not really sure what I think. There seems to be an ever so slight darker area around the battery symbol. The bottom left corner still looks yellowish, but not as bad as the legions phone. I guess I'll stick with this device.

Comparing my new and old side by side there is a night and day difference. I even showed a relative who claimed they couldn't see the yellow against the new device and immediately they could tell the old from the new without me telling them which is which. I'm going to keep this one
I just got my replacement 6 yesterday and I too have noticed (along with my last two) a darker dimmness in the upper right hand corner of the screens. It's not just you! I think all 6's have this and most people don't notice or care! It's most noticeable on white backgrounded screens. In the settings app or anywhere else with white up in the status bar double tap the home screen to activate reachability and you'll see the difference in brightness when the status bar gets down to the middle of the screen! Much brighter isn't it?! Oh well I'll live with it! I don't think I'm going to send this one back! My next one could come back with dark splotches in the middle!!
It's in the phone app, when I'm calling someone with the black background that I notice the inconsistent backlighting. Some parts of the screen are illuminated much more than others.

Good I hope mine coming next week fine too.
I just recieved mine too screen is white as a paper but a slightly darker area around the battery too hardly noticeable this one a keeper NO dead pxiels, stuck pixels and light bleed.

I think most of the time our eyes adjust so after a while you won't even notice it.

Low screen brightness levels coupled with bright external lighting will make the tint more obvious. Unless it looks like a child has filled in the screen with a thick yellow crayon I wouldn't worry about it.

What number did you call to sort this out and did you have to send them a photo of the screen?

Hey how are you doing with your device? My 2nd replacement is a week 48. Mine has the same issue (along with a darker battery corner) as your original phone now that I have had time to use it more! It's subtle but noticeable when you do a lot of reading with white backgrounds! It's along the whole left side of the screen. I also have a more yellowish/dimmer area in the lower hand quad. For example on the keyboard the letters QWERTASDFZXC are a little bit dimmer and yellowish compared to the rest of the keyboard! Man now it's all I see! The rest of the phone is perfect. What's going on with the QC of these screens? Is it glue not dried properly? Is it uneven backlight? This sucks. Do I send it back in and play the lottery again? Maybe I should wait a few months. By then maybe it will be solved or maybe it's just luck of the draw.
