My 5c has a yellow tint, too and I don't mind.
:Apple: seems to have a thing for yellow tinted screens.

I'm not sure if this is true but I heard that displays with uniformity yellow tint (warm) gives off accurate colors on the display opposed to blue tints (cool). I could be wrong but that' what I'm getting at when searching on google.

Hey how are you doing with your device? My 2nd replacement is a week 48. Mine has the same issue (along with a darker battery corner) as your original phone now that I have had time to use it more! It's subtle but noticeable when you do a lot of reading with white backgrounds! It's along the whole left side of the screen. I also have a more yellowish/dimmer area in the lower hand quad. For example on the keyboard the letters QWERTASDFZXC are a little bit dimmer and yellowish compared to the rest of the keyboard! Man now it's all I see! The rest of the phone is perfect. What's going on with the QC of these screens? Is it glue not dried properly? Is it uneven backlight? This sucks. Do I send it back in and play the lottery again? Maybe I should wait a few months. By then maybe it will be solved or maybe it's just luck of the draw.

Yeah my replacement device is the same. The same letters are a little dimmer and yellow compared to the rest. I'm going to stick with it now and see how I feel in a couple of months.

Mine is the same. Is yours a Space Grey one?

Yes! 64GB. My third one now. There's gotta be some manufacturing issue with the lcd's from one of the suppliers I'm thinking. It's subtle and it's more noticeable when the brightness is 50% and less but it's always there. Is it possible it could be some adhesive that didn't dry between the lcd and glass screen properly? Maybe it will fade in time? My screen has no dead pixels and no noticeable lightbleed. So Im not sure I want to risk getting yet another replacement at this point!

I have this problem with my iPhone 6 as well: the top 1/4 - 1/2 inch of the screen has a slight shadow-like discoloration that appears a bit yellowed when the area is white, and it's most noticeable in landscape mode. I got my screen replaced because of it, and the replacement has the same problem. Not sure if you have seen this thread in the Apple Support Communities:

iPhone 6: Apparent backlight uniformity issue

But many have had their entire phones replaced numerous times only to see the same issue as well.

It's driving me a bit nuts, as I can't un-see it and it's really distracting when reading in landscape, especially when the ambient light and the backlight are both low. I am however reluctant to get another replacement and think I'll wait a while with the hope a replacement down the line will be less likely to have the problem.

Yellow tint of the screen usually comes with iPhones and iPad that are manufactured in Asian countries. Don't know why, I just noticed it when I purchased iPhone 4 and a year later iPhone 5 in Thailand.

Yeah, 64GB Space Grey as well.

I'm feeling the same, I don't want to risk it at the moment. I'll probably give it a couple of months.

They're all manufactured in Asian countries other than a few that are produced in Brazil as far as I am aware (and I think that I read this was only the iPhone 4 and iPad 2, so all newer iPhones and iPads are produced in Asia). I didn't realise any were produced in Thailand.

I had enough six iPhone 6 128gb replacement this one going on ebay
my latest replacement perfect white screen but 4 dead pixels.

Funny thing is I had no problems with iPhone 6+ problems only iPhone 6 screen
something up with manufacturing on iphone 6 screens.
Each one has either yellow screen, dust under screen, dead pixels.
This really puts me off purchasing another iPhone until Apple switches to AMOLED or something else because LCD gives me so much problems.

Today I got 3rd iPhone 6 plus replacement, first one had light bleed and was brighter at the bottom, second one has a yellow hue, today got my 3rd and FINALLY it's perfect nice white crisp screen, no light bleed what so ever, uniformity is perfect no yellow spots or dead pixels, finally!!!!!!

So yesterday, I placed an order for the Sim-Free 6 Plus (A1524), and I have received it today. Being that where I am currently, High is -4 Degree's F. My 6 Plus arrived today and it was very cold to the touch. When I turned it on, the screen was piss yellow (well uneven tint). I thought, this is not good, but decided to use it a while and see what happens.

But after a while when the phone got warmer, the screen started to look normal and even 6 hours later all the yellow hue is gone. I guess the cold weather caused my screen to turn yellow

My iphone 6 has 2-3 bars of service where my iPhone 4 had 4-5 bars

My 6+ has 2-3 dots of service where my iPhone 5 had none. I don't know if the 6+ is brilliant in this respect, or the i5 was dreadful. I suspect the latter because it was much worse than the iPhone 4 that preceded it. However, this has nothing whatsoever to do with yellow screens.#

Is your iphone 6 showing LTE strength? And the i4 showing 3G? That might be why you are seeing a difference. And yes what does that have to do with a yellow screen? :p

I exchanged my ordered iPhone 6 64GB gray 4 times. Every unit was yellow with even more yellowed areas like bottom corner + upper part. 4 Devices! Finally I decided to sent it back to apple and take my money back. I will make a next order in next month. If it is still presnt like previous ones I will switch the brand.

I wonder if SJ put up with a yellow screen on his iDevices, I'm doubting it.

No employee probably had the guts to hand deliver him one that has that urine tinge, knowing it could cost their job :D

I talked to a senior advisor who escalated my case and send some of my pics I took of the screen to an engineer to look at. The engineer apparently said some minor shadowing is normal but not to the point where I can see it that bad in regular use. They didn't say anything about the yellowing. But they are sending me a brand new sealed retail box iphone 6. I'm very curious to see what this next one will look like! Maybe my 5th iphone will be ok!?

My 5th device was bad. Screen with yellow tint and scratch on the phone. Last week I received 6th one...screen is...hmmm..ok...much better then all screens before...slightly dimmer in one corner but...acceptable. Slightly tinted on the corner but....after 5 really bad its really acceptable and not distracting as all units before. The funny (or rather not) thing is that I probably will sent it back too. I finally took some photos with camera (iP6 camera was a decision maker for me to go for the phone after great experience with 5 and 5s) and found it really, really bad in comparison to previous phone. There are many posts about it in this forum, however I didn't read it before purchase, as I thought camera in iP6 must be better or just as good as in previous one. No idea who is such an idiot there but 'new' extremely high noise reducing algorithms make the camera complete crap. No detail, smudgy photos look like painting in almost all lighting conditions including perfect daylight scenes, especially people faces look strange. For those who fight for good screen or just "have eyes" it might be a problem. For me me it is a step backward. If i just knew it before 5 exchanges...waste of time. For those who have some expectations for the camera (probably all who expect good screen) better take a photo of any face or clothes with ip6 before decision. U might be surprised with new software processing. I am highly disappointed with it.

So how was your 5th device?

So my 5th on fresh out of the box week 51... Well it isn't as bad as the others but I've been keeping it for the time being! Right away I noticed there is no neat blue glow coming from the FaceTime camera and that made me grimace instantly knowing a a couple weeks I'd be seeing that gray cushion thing start shifting over! Sure enough it has! As for the screen... It's more evenly lit than the other duds I've had but still has a dark fingerprint sized smudge in the middle right side. I see it every time I scroll something in the macrumors forums! But I've learned to live with it. Also I have two pretty major scratches in the screen that were either there out of the box or happened within the first couple of days of use. No idea how they got there as I am very careful! Anyways yeah no yellowing as far as I can see and my upper left corner instead of right is slightly dimmer now! How about that? lol 4 dim upper right corners in a row then a left! Lol I'm going to send this one back at the end of the warranty to fix the FaceTime camera. Either they will replace the glass or the whole phone. Hopefully by then they will have better quality displays too! The quality has dropped significantly in these phones!

And hey Martin82, I know what you mean about the camera! My Iphone 5 seemed to take more natural looking pictures as well and didn't have that weird washed out blotchy paint color thing going on with the photos I take with my 6! I don't get it! One step Foward two steps back?!

Thanks both for your replies. I'm in the same boat unfortunately, owning the "right eyes" to see that my iP6's display is yellow tinted on the left side and slightly magenta on the right side. In my case, the right scenario for easily observe the issue is by putting the brightness somewhere below 40% and displaying some light grey backgrounds.
I went to the Apple authorized service in my country and the "genius" there inspected the device from different angles and pointing lamp towards it to conclude he can't see any issues at all whatsoever... he even called a coworker to check it out to no avail. They said they can swap it for me with a new or refurbished device (they have no control, and depends what Apple send them), but they also mentioned that that would be the first and the last swap they'll allow for free and I'll have to live with whatever issues I'll find on the eventually swapped device. I said "no, thanks" and walked away...
QC is really down lately, indeed.

Regarding the camera quality, I only use it occasionally and I didn't spot any differences compared with my previous 5s camera. I'll look into it these days.

After 5 iPhone exchanges (all with yellow tinted screens and other issues-heating, scratches), 4 exchanges of top spec Macbooks Pros (finally sent all back due to terrible screen issues like yellow gradients, backlight bleeding-there was no one with standard white uniform screen ) and at the end with terrible photo processing with iP6 i think it's no longer the company which I would like to pay premium price. It's just not the same anymore. There is no quality control there.

My 6th iPhone's screen is dimmer in upper right corner but I could live with it (strange considering the price tag) as the screen is better then all previous units but after I saw a 100% camera output, there is nothing to hold me with the phone. I was really used to iOS and like it very much as well a camera.

If u put a lamp over a "bad iphone screen" its harder to see all issues.

Regarding the blotchy painted photos-a huge step back. Really no idea who and why did it.
