Sloppy animations after EFI update?

Update: I just reset my PRAM and while it is greatly improved, it is not back to where it was. Grrr....

I downloaded the new EFI firmware and my computer is SO choppy...the scrolling, the typing, loading of new pages or even pages that are open an d I looked at 3 minutes ago have to "reload" when I click on the tab. You tube videos are horribly choppy.

I just lowered my resolution on the screen, I've done disc permissions, I've ran troubleshooting and reset the SMC (?) power cord unplug and plugging....

HELP! I have a 6 month old iMac 12.1 with OS Lion 10.7.3...

Why are you posting on this thread? As posted earlier, it is for MacBook Airs and a potential issue with the Air - posting about an iMac doesn't help.

I just had an EFI 2.4 update appear on my update list - has anyone applied this and what were the results?

EFI 2.4? I haven't had it appear on my computer...

i've installed it and it does nothing.... neither the sloppy graphics nor the wifi problem (especially dhcp) are gone...

Seemed to make it worse...
