Lately, it seems, the forums have been loading extremely slowly for me.

Now, my internet connection is by no means the fastest, but if other forums load up fine, why shouldn't this one?

I loaded the forums, and tested it with Page Speed extension for Chrome. I've attached the screenshot....

I don't know, it happens on and off. Both at my work, and at home.

That screenshot was taken when it happened (This morning). But usually when it happens, it stays for 5-10 minutes, then goes away. As of right now it's not happening, not to say it won't happen again.

Been happening for a few weeks now.

Fwiw, I noticed an extremely slow loading of the forum earlier this afternoon (GMT) which would have been morning US time. It seems to have improved quite a bit now.

Cheers

The forums have also been slow loading for me the past couple of days, Like the OP, it happens on and off

I'm not even able to load the forum nor the front page on Firefox. It loads perfectly and quickly in Safari;

I made another change.

How is it now?

arn

^I can now view the front page on Firefox, but I think I'm going to stick with Safari.

Thanks, though!

Eh, still a bit slow. Not as bad as it was. (But again I haven't been browsing for a lot since it happened)

I feel like you're just messing with us. Trying to get into our heads.

Not actually doing anything, but saying you changed something, and so we'll think that it'll be faster. :p :D.

EDIT: It was slow once again. I didn't make a new post to avoid consecutive posting, but yeah. This time it was around 28,500 ms

Can you see what elements are causing the slowdown?

arn, I've been noticing slow load times as well. It's been going on for the past 2-3 days. It's going on right now. I notice it especially once I post something....it takes at least 10 seconds or possibly longer to load. While I'm waiting, I usually load another page (CNN, google news, etc.), and they load instantly.

PS....I'm enjoying my lead against you on the I in the Sky track.:p:D

I hate to say it but this has been happening for months to me. It'll load perfectly fine (and quickly) for most of the time but all of a sudden for a few minutes it'll hang and not load anything. Then it works fine again.

It is extremely slow at the moment. Refreshing hangs for about 10 seconds.

Yeah, it's been going on for a few months for me too.

Maybe it's your network issue that every now and then it hangs on the upload?

Ouch...I have no idea what's actually taking so long to load up, but the browser just displays a blank white page for a long time, and then later it loads up the forum in a matter of seconds.

Your screenshot again doesn't show anything about what is holding it up.

Can you take a screenshot of Safari's Activity window during the delay? Specifically for elements that are taking a while to load.
