Have had problems w/ 5GHZ band. Been dropping connection etc. Just reached like 10mb/s. Reset network settings and Now i reach 55mb/s with 5GHZ.

Sems to work with reset network settings, hopefully the battery will be better now .

General -> Reset -> Network Settings.

Forgetting the wifi network then re-connecting solved the issue for me.

I tried this, and it helped me some, but not entirely. Some sites still load slowly, visibly more so than on IOS7. I tried it on both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz wifi. I've restarted the device (iPad3) and that didn't seem to have much effect.

Didn't know about the reset network settings. Trying it out now.

It's staying connected for longer than this morning but I am closer to the router.

Comparing speed tests from the same point in the house the 2.4 is much faster and more stable than the 5ghz. Has to be a software bug.

I was having the same problem. On 2.4 GHz I was only getting 1 Mbps or less down and up. 5 GHz was a little better. I thought it was my router at first, too. Rebooted the router but still slow. I tried forgetting the network and reconnecting but still slow. I did the reset network settings and now it's better!

Same issue here on iPhone 5... 5 mbps download speeds. My iMac is able to get my normal 18 mbps... So definitely something wrong with my phone.

my internet got really really slow on both my mac and iphone but it all got fixed when i changed the wifi channel. though this probably didnt have anything to do with ios8

Changing the wifi channel worked for me too.... Just interesting there was no problem until I updated to iOS 8... Or maybe it's just I was looking for problems now that I had an update?

Reset network settings didn't work for me on my Air (it would, but then go right back to stalling). Tried a Reset All Settings and it seems much better now.

Are you sure it's wifi of just data in general.

My wifi is noticeably slower but so is 3G too.

If that question was for me, then yes I'm sure 100% because my internet plan is 100mb/s and other apps like Youtube streams HD videos without problems while Safari doesn't load even google.lt website.

It was a general question to everybody.

Data just seems slower in iOS 8

----------

I'm on 152 MB fibre broadband and posting these few words of a reply takes about 40 seconds.

In iOS 7 it would be under a second.

Something is wrong!

Yes, Same here on iPhone 5S and iPad 4. Waiting until work tomorrow to test their Wi-Fi to see if its the same. If it is then iOS 8 bug.

same setup here..same bug.

Other people said restarting fixes this issue. Not mine.
and it's just not limited to Safari, for me this bug applied on all apps, flipboard, speedtest, instagram,

I'm pretty sure iOS 8 killed the wifi on my iPad Mini with Retina Display. The connection drops to almost nothing just one room away ... never a problem before the update. I move back next to the Airport Extreme and it recovers.

Damn what Apple was thinking about releasing this build when one of the most important thing on smartphones- WiFi, doesn't work.

I'm getting white half pages and full pages and pages just taking longer to load. Im finding that memory is running out after just opening a couple of apps, this is on iPad Air.
My battery life is also down the toilet, I just get these big drops in remaing battery life.
