Yes, the current MR set of smilies are better than those. :)

Definitely - keep it simple. I find the different colours in the MR smilies better too - it is not as easy to distinguish between them if they are all yellow.

Good point Kernow, the different colored smilies do help.

I think we need a crying smiley.

i love the "Adium" icons on thier Xtras site, i think they would make an outstanding and tasteful solution, but then again we don't have the rights to them so i guess it doesn't matter, eh? i do think we need either a change or some more added in.

Don't worry ~Shard~, your still our Canadian member (even if other people on occasion use the word "eh" ;) ). :)

Well, there are actually quite a few of us on MR, but thanks in any case, I appreciate it. ;) :D

Fair enough. ;) Yeah, Vancouver's great, myself and the missus will be driving out there this summer.

Anybody else notice that the smilies changed positions again in the last 24 hours or so? Weird...

Edit: Attaching pic for future comparisons...

I am glad that you noticed this as well. I thought that something was amiss.

It must be a conspiracy to drive us all crazy... ;) :D

people actually use that? I just type out the emoticon. : ), : o, : p, etc.(no spaces of course) I'd have to move my hand and junk to use the bar. :p

I do both, it is just confusing to see them change order. ;) :)

I'm so happy today!

Oops, gotta watch where I'm clicking!

Another forum I've used has software that has the positions of the Submit and Preview buttons reversed from MacRumors, which constantly causes me to click the wrong button because I tend to click by position, not by reading the labels.

imacintel's thread on smilies reminded me about the "ever-changing smilies" game. I didn't notice the change (it may have been while I was on vacation), but they've changed again.

The smilies retain their same order (if you look at them in vertical columns) when they change, but the starting smilie occasionally changes.
