I'd still like a 'drool' one just to express desire and lickability for whatever new products are forthcoming...
I like it too, but it can be abused. :)

And the negative ones (along with many other things) do help to single out who's an asshat™. Replying innappropriately with a "" or occasionally a "" is one of the things I find rudest on the forum, and immediately singles out the poster to be eternally remembered by me as rude and up themselves. Oh, and vniow's  earlier was an obvious and amusing use, and therefore is ok in my book. :D

Basically, give em enough rope, etc. :)

Thank-you vniow, i wanted to do the  but decided not to

especially since everything is offensive now
I hope this forum doesn't become politically correct, that would really give new meaning to

As a frequent user of the Political forum, I don't think we should get rid of the negative smilies. For obvious reasons.

Smilies appear to have changed places again.....just when I was getting used to where they were positioned..... :D :)

Hotter than a MacBook Pro with an extra helping of thermal paste...

Due to new negotiations between the Smilies Local 1246 and MacRumors.com, the order of the smilies have been changed. The contract over the new positioning should come up for review in a few months.

If it is crying, isn't it -- by definition -- not a smiley anymore?
Not if it's tears of happiness, like you see at weddings, or when parents see their newborn baby, or when athletes win the championship, or when Miss America is crowned, or when Apple customers get new Macs. All those emotional celebrations.

But it's true that our forum sad-smilie seems to be just plain sad. :(
