Meh, if smoking doesn't kill you something else will(possibly sooner than later). If you enjoy smoking, don't care about the long term risks, and can afford it, why not do it? I smoke like 3 cigarettes a week and they'll all be in the same night. Just in social situations or to intensify my drunkeness at times. I generally smoke marlboro menthol lights or what ever I bum off of people. I also enjoy a good ol' pipe once in a while. Been smoking pipes for a good 3-4 years, only a few months for the cigs. Oh well.

right on, i smoke on occasion, and do well other wonderfully high things sometimes, and i have yet to have troubles in life. and i drink more than i breathe some nights :)

I usually smoke roll-ups using Golden Virginia and Green Rizla's (cut corners-easier to roll)

Occasionally i'll treat myself to a pack of cigarettes, but they are getting ridiculously expensive here. As more people quit, the more the government needs to bump on tax on tobacco so they can keep up the VAST amounts of income they make from smokers.

Anyway, in order of preference...
Sovereign,
Embassy Number 1,
B&H (Gold)
Richmond
Lucky Strike.

mmmmm... cigars.. nothing like a good cohiba, arturo fuente reserva or davidoff with cognac. makes cigarettes taste like sh*t but i still love my lights..

as for djarums, they have cloves in them but the main ingredient is tobacco...

Sorry for being of topic here, but I hope you are not serious about the "terrorist-thing".

By the way, I enjoy P&S cigarettes.

American i presume?

Quite. I assume that you're going to now point out the obvious that you were being facetious? Well, your sarcasm leaves something to be desired. Try again.

As Freud would say you are having homosexual fantasies. It's actually a very easy dream to interpret. The cigarette in your dream is a symbol of a Phallus. In your dream when you smoke the cigarette it's symbolic of putting a Phallus in your mouth. Just remember it's not really a cigarette that you are "blowing"

Hahaa-- I can see how I walked into that one. But really, that was totally funny. No offense taken.

Remember, "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."

:)

I agree with the marlboro light ash tray comment. Pall Malls also taste like ash trays, but when you smoke enough of them you get used to it... nearly $2 cheaper/pack too.

Curiously enough they all smell much like ashtrays too (except the methol one's).

Sadly smokers smell much like that too - so do their houses, cars, clothes and nearly everything they own...they just can't smell it.

To be honest if I go to the pub then, I kind of expect to get smokey (much as I dislike it). What I can't stand is smoking in restaurants - How ****ing ignorant is that!?!?

Which is precisely why my wife and I don't smoke in our house. You want to smoke? Go outside. Too cold? Too bad. How badly do you want that cigarette?

OK, if that's the case, what if I'm on a plane and there's a fat lady sitting next to me and she can't contain her rolls within her alloted space? Is it then acceptable to tell her how incredibly disgusting she is and she'd better stop eating because she's driving up my taxes and ruining my good time?
Go for it. And I don't believe that airlines have an "obligation" to accommodate people who can't fit in a reasonable seat. On the other hand, some airlines are a bit too cozy...but anyway...the whole smoking in your apartment being a place where you can smoke - be careful. If the smoke is passing through walls/ventilation systems, you or your landlord could face some serious problems via the affected tenant. You could be evicted, they could be forced to pay not insignificant sums of money.

edit: if you were in a bar, i don't even want to hear it. alcohol is strictly speaking, a poison. if you're going somewhere to get poisoned, don't bitch because you get poisoned. And, bars are going non-smoking at a quick pace, it's easier to find a non-smoking bar than a smoking one. even in Iowa.
Cool. Does that mean it's OK to take some plutonium into the bar. I mean, you're already being poisoned and it only causes cancer too. No? Oh OK.

I personally like Romeo y Julieta, but I won't turn down a Cohiba.

Have you ever had a Lusitanias by Partagas?

I can smell smoke in my room, on me, in my car and on my clothes but I actually like it...

Then again I do love the smell of other strange things like Petrol and nail varnish remover

Designated smoking areas, which are highly segregated from the rest of the public. My car and apartment (personal space, you're not there). And the general outdoors.

Some universities in North Carolina are banning smoking anywhere on campus....indoors or outdoors.

I know Lowe's Home Improvement employees cannot smoke anywhere on the premises...indoors or outdoors.

And now, after 20 years of smoking, I've had to quit for (serious, immediate) health reasons. So far so good after 2 weeks of being smoke free.

i can tell the difference.....i dont like real cubans....thats how i know....=P

Well out in jersey....i pay almost 7 bucks for a pack of my Camel Lights at some shops.....not to mention the new smoking ban that just passed.....*sighs*

I'll be a smoker till i die from it.....loving every second of it....=]

Well...i LOVE the Opus X's....and Siglo 21's (which i cant find anymore)

I enjoy SOME macanudos...although NOT the Robusto line.....

Flor d'copan...a little too spicy, but depends on my mood....

Also a big Ashton fan....and one of the Acid line....i think the purple color...lol

...i think im forgetting something.....

I do wine too....red wine specifically.....not bad for a 24 year old...=P

Opus X are fantastic cigars. If you like the spice and punch the Opus gives, try a cigar called the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel. Hands down my favorite cigar this year, but it is a pretty strong cigar so be sure to eat a full meal before smoking. :)

I don't smoke, never have, and I never plan on smoking. However, I thought I would chime in and say that I don't have a problem with this thread. Those who do smoke know its not the most healthy thing to do, however, so do those who drink to the excess, and those who take the risks having unprotected random sex (that is more of a chance thing though). I don't have a problem with smokers, but I try to avoid it (the smell gives me headaches.. however some pipe and cigar tobacco smells good, it isn't good for me to breath that stuff in).

I know a lot of people who smoke, and I have always said that I wouldn't start because I already have too many health risks. I enjoy alcholic drinks, I drink too much coffee, tea, and soda, I eat too much.. so yeah..
