Snap sells something on the app store?

Also, does Apple take a 30% cut from ads in the apps?

Good for snap. They obviously make enough money by exploiting their users' data.

I would prefer if companies weren't forced to make a profit by all means (including shady ones) just to be able to pay Apple's ruinous and crazy fee. But that's only me and it's a minority opinion here.

If only Apple would charge what the market charges, like hmm lets see, the market charges - oh wait, 30%! Damn apple, not a penny more!

No matter what's been argued the discussion is now tedious. In the end the 30% fee and/or the app store restriction will fall. It's only a matter of time.

Got some information to show how much money Snap makes by "exploiting user data", or is it just and opinion.

Think you have this backwards. Apple charges nothing for hosting, management and app distribution. They do charge $99 for the license/subscription to use their platform. So a model whereby an app developer charges $0 for initial use of their apps and makes their money by "exploiting user data", Apple gets $0.

If here is delivery of digital goods through iap, app maker gets revenue and apple gets revenue. It's a win-win.

The Xbox isn't a general computing device. It's a gaming console. That's why I compared iOS to Windows and MacOS. Please try to keep up.

XBox is a computer and we are discussing app/game store policies. you continue to avoid that comparison because your entire argument falls apart. Intelligence 1 - Epic Employee 0.

This is, undeniably true. One has to look at the fact that the Xbox streams video and edits video AND it’s got a web browser so you can even run Office 365 on it and then ignore it.
