No, this is meant for USB Type C, which didn't exist in 2011.
Ok, maybe I need to explain the question.

The Connector and Adapter parts of the snapnator both seem to have the same arrangement pinout as the original MAGSAFE (the 5 pins), even in the same distribution, and even with the same oval around the pins, at least it seems like this in the pictures. What I want to know is if I can use just the half that goes to the cable that ends in this 5 pins like MAGSAFE, and connect it directly to the MAGSAFE port in a 2011 macbook pro, which has the same port arrangement. It is something achievable if they wanted to do it, but it requires the electronics inside the conector to be able to handle this. Also, pictures look like it could connect, but maybe in real life it is bigger, longer, etc, and it actually doesn't fit.

Anyways...it is as easy as taking one cable, remove the last part and try to connect to a 2011 macbook.

I would go with Vinpok - They are a Snapinator competitor that appear to be making a good product. You will most definitely have better results than we have.

Check the Snapinator reviews of that out on Youtube. They will speak for themselves. The initial reviews of the Snapinator haven't been so... ahem, good.

Another "wonderful" review of the Snapinator:

Meanwhile, *crickets* for a response from Snapinator about how many of us are upset about no shipping 9 months after promise...

Mine was finally sent out late last week. My guess is everyone will eventually receive theirs, though way behind the originally promised date. I probably won't even use mine when I get it though as I'm concerned about build quality and have no desire to fry something my $3k MBP.

Yep, every single review says it's poor :-/

I'd rather have my money back but at this point we've all financed his website to sell more

Guys, I just got an update from the Snapnator Team. It's not a scam, but it's a very terrible team. They never considered the possibility of rejected shipments because of magnetic components and pretty much all of their shipments are returned to them. The built quality of the Snapnator is OK. However, I received a faulty one and it doesn't charge properly. They offered a replacement. Please message them to receive your item. They have plenty of returned shipments in their warehouse.

Respectfully, I've written them directly three times and no response. All the excuses in the world aren't going to make up for a lack of response.

They can communicate the issues instead of dead silence which indicates a scam: I understand you are having issues getting your product up to proper standards and can hold.

Dead silence means you're choosing not to communicate to people who funded your business out of trust.

Thanks for posting my video. Snapnator filed a questionable copyright violation against me (I believe for using screenshots from the Kickstarter website in the video) - and YouTube pulled my video. The other video you referenced is also missing (but I have no idea if that is for the same reason as mine was pulled).

I have re-edited and reposted my video here:

Lets see how long this one lasts!

This is a total scam. They even had the nerve to use copyright law to try to take down videos critical of the junk they sell.
