 Does anyone know of a Logitech SL driver ( beta or otherwise ) for their mice especially the MX revolution? I cannot live without that mouse and in SL the mouse works but the cool configurations do not.

- When I upgraded from 10a380 to 10a394 Mail wouldn't remember if sorted my messages by "Date Received -> Descending". Anytime I left the current mailbox and came back it would revert to "Date Received -> Ascending" which was driving me nuts.

I'll post about these later if no one else does.

YES. I was having that exact same problem as well. Mail just simply refused to sort by date received -> descending. Glad I'm not alone. I've got 53 minutes remaining. Let's see what we get.

I agree that Apple needs to beef up its software update servers, even though currently this is limited to us developers only for testing. But still, when all the developers get on, all we see is "6 hours remaining".

Haven't noticed major improvements. Certainly none that explain the size of the update, but I also don't have time to investigate right now. The only things I want at this point are an SL compatible vertical pane reader for Mail.app and an SL compatible Microsoft Live Sync.

Good luck. Logitech is awful with their drivers. Their 64bit LLC 2.7 doesn't and refuses to recognize my MX1100. They have no idea why, and they keep asking users to send in reports and system profiles. They had same issue in 2.6 as well for certain mouse and 2.7 expanded the issues to a variety of mice.

Logitech drivers on OS X are horrible.

Use Steermouse. Throw any mouse at it and it works like a charm.

Has anyone aside from myself do the "Transfer From Another Mac" option, or are you 'cleanly' installing it?

So far, it is a little "snappy"... Is there anyway to make the kernel boot in x64 mode?

Add arch=x86_64 to your kernel flags's value in com.apple.Boot.plist in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

It works for my early 2008 MBP in 10a394.

Only problems are that littlesnitch is not 64bit and LLC don't work. I don't remember if Steermouse is 64bit or not.

Yeah, black is the new white. :)

Edit: Forgot to mention that my dock is custom. (JetBlack)
That's a rather interesting concept – I've seen a demo in 2007 which was rejected by Apple, then the developer used it for his own website. I guess that he was right after all.

Judging by the periodic additions of marble here and there, I'm hoping that there'll be a full switch over to it by SL's release.

I can dream, can't I?

The list in the dock looks fantastic, but I really don't like the "marble" scroll bars in iTunes + iPhoto---a little bit too blargh for my tastes.

We'll see though.

You really like Marble? In my opinion it's good in small areas here and there like the stacks grid (and now list) view, but when integrated into QuickTime X, it just begins to look a bit cheap. I like the fading away of controls, but that black window bar is just ugly!

I simply do not want to see Safari, Mail, Finder, etc all looking like this!

I really like the Quicktime X theme and these new black dock menus. From what I can gather, this black theme is called HUD, but out of curiosity, what does HUD stand for?

I'm hoping that all of SL is like this by the time it's released!

Spotlight

Is it just me or does the Spotlight results window look a couple notches more transparent?

Judging by the large number of people saying there wouldn't be any GUI changes after WWDC, you can keep a bit higher expectations that there would be more of the Marble's GUI code in later builds.

In my opinion, I don't think Apple have ever done a complete GUI change except for major OS change like the way the original 10.0 was. They'll keep doing minor GUI revisions over major OS X versions. That's their style.

Also, the "HUD" black menu thingy may not be indications of the actual Marble theme. It may be something else. I actually think Marble is the MobileMe theme that they have going on that site. The question is will Apple use that Marble theme or not, who knows, maybe all of us were wrong and Marble is actually the theme name for MM and has nothing to do with OS X.

Heads-Up Display.

It comes from the idea of the pop-up controls in Quicktime and similar apps, but now pretty much just means 'transparent black window' :p

Edit: too slow

I always thought "marble" referred to iTunes' UI . I'd refer to the new Dock and QuickTime UI as "HUD".
