Damn it!

Ordered up to date and retail from Online Apple Store. Up to date was ordered weeks ago.

Postman has just been.......no package from Apple.

Damn I'm furious!

Anyone in the UK got it today?

If I had known it would not be delivered today, I would have gone to the Birmingham Store
 
Not yet, but considering I don't get my post till about 10 - 11 there is still time, does anyone know if the UK orders are with Royal Mail or another courier? Because my MBP which I recently got was just from a white van man!
 
I'm in the same situation - ordered under the up to date scheme in the UK a month ago.

When I check my order status it says Assigned Carrier is "G3 WORLDWIDE NETHERLANDS BV" and I have a Carrier Tracking Number stated, where can I go to track this?

Not sure on this, have you googled the carrier?

I thought it was shipped by Royal Mail, as no tracking number has been given
 
Hmm true, in the email it does say tracking unavailable as its delivered by post? But for your information the courier who posted my MBP was DPD www.dpd.co.uk but I couldn't track so I guess not them!
 
It is NOT G3 that will be delivering it to YOU.

G3 is the courier company to ship it to the UK.

Once it gets here, then a local courier OR the post office will deliver it to you.

The local courier can be anyone chosen by either Apple or most likely G3.

There is no tracking until a local courier has been assigned.
 
Well waiting outside the apple store at the bullring in birmingam with about 20 others, they open at 0930 soon have SL in my warm sticky paws
 
No sign here either, although postie doesnt arrive until after 10:30.

I'm not hopeful though. I would have gone into the Bullring to pick up a copy but I dont think you can do an up-to-date upgrade there.

Damn, it only cost me £7 so I dont mind waiting! :D
 
I'm considering driving into town if it doesn't come in the post today. But only as it's a bank holiday weekend, meaning if it doesn't come today, I probably wouldn't get it till Tuesday. We shall see.

Did you pay the extra £10 for priority shipping by any chance? as on the delivery widget, and logging in to the Apple store mine is showing as a postal delivery and to allow 5-10 days:confused:
 
why, if you're that desperate to have it on launch day, didn't you just go to the store in the first place?
 
No delivery for me either, via Royal Mail at least. But can anyone be sure who apples local carrier is ?

They could send it via anyone really

Mine sez exactly the same
 
non for me as yet but it is saying it is in Accrington. i am getting it delivered to my work. fortunately i went for the £10 delivery (Work is paying. hehe.) it looks like it could be here today. i hope so as the TNT office where is it at is only 5 min from where it is getting delivered and is also on the same industrial estate as one of our warehouses.

Sorry it is the full retail copy.

You can't track the up to date orders. I suspect the number on there is some kind of internal number. It leaves G3 and is handed over to Royal Mail to enter the postal lottery!

We don't have an Apple store near my office.
 
looks like the UK has been fleeced again ordered as soon as I was able on the apple site the US were guaranteed to have it by 28th in the UK we only cot shipped by 28th :mad:
