this isn't really going out on a limb but ill give this a 99.9 percent chance that the OP will not be getting a plus on Friday, this is ATT we are talking about afterall

Thanks lol. I'm beyond devastated. I never asked her to do that. She said she will talk to her boss and try and get it placed back up front. My guess there is a 0% chance of that happening

When I check my order online it still has the original date. Hopefully it will be okay. But my guess is I'll be standing in line Friday morning

Not so sure that even standing in line will get you a Plus on Friday morning.

Sorry about your loss!

I was on the phone trying to sort out contact info and billing for my 6+. After a while she says "good news! I canceled your order and placed another" that was her solution to getting all my info to match. My orgianal ship date was October 2nd. Now I'm towards the end of November. I am at a loss for words.

i'm sorry for your situation, but that gave me a good laugh! what the heck was the rep thinking? lol

Ugh! I'd be really mad and ask to speak to a manager myself. There is no excuse for that as you did not ask her to do that, she did it herself.

Lesson: look in the mirror, there you'll see who's responsible for being prepared and placing the order correctly the first time.

Playing the victim and attacking the carrier will only gain the support of fellow victims. Pointing the finger and blaming is futile.

I wouldn't blame them right away. At&t messes up their billing addresses. I preordered for my dad and his billing address in the at&t system was totally messed up due to their error. Thankfully that address didn't exist and UPS was able to connect the right one, but I wouldn't immediately blame them. When you preorder they have to ship to the billing address on file.

And even if their address (or credit card) was messed up it does not give them an okay to cancel it because they couldn't figure out how to change it. I don't care how it was messed up. You'd be mad if it happened to you too.

The worst part is not that you will get a new phone a few weeks later than everyone else but that if you did a contract you're renewal date is pushed out so that every 2 years you would have to wait to be eligible

You're just a bit confused, the title of your thread blasted AT&T, when in reality as you finally admitted it was a security issue your bank handled for you. Cause for you to be grateful. Then being the victim you are... you attempt to get rude with me. That never works. Look at the bright side, you learned something. Or not.
My complaint was that she canceled my order as her first resort. Didn't even try to update my info.

My new order move back up to the 10/2 bracket. So there is still hope. And it was reassigned with the original order number
