First I had a Nokia 8210. It was quite sleek at the time and fitted nicely into the hand and a pocket.

Then, after I thought I had lost it, I bought a Nokia 6300. I had three in quick succession with the original and two replacements because the sound quality was terrible. I thought they were faulty but maybe that's the way they are.

After taking the third one back I upgraded to a Nokia N73. That was fine, nice to hold, but after a few months the predictive text went screwy and I was sending texts with wheo instead of when and stuff like that. It also creaked and was awkward to text with as the keys were so small I had to use the very tips of my fingers. And no, I don't have big hands.

Very happy to get the iPhone!

Motorola SLVR L7. I have a Curve for work too and it's got nothing on my iPhone. :)

Had the HTC touch. Good phone. Was one of the few fully touch screen devices that were available prior to the iphone, despite what some think, calling it an iphone copycat. :D

Prior to that, had the HTC Mogule, but never could get all the features to work right with that thing. Plus it was a brick of a phone.

Fun phone, but windows mobile is so bloated....

Love my 3G.

I had the blackberry 8800 with Cingular. I only decided to get an iPhone 3g because my blackberry broke and the blackberry bold was one hundred dollars more before the rebate, and since I'm still waiting for my $50 rebate for my blackberry 8700c that I had 3 years ago, I decided to get a phone that didn't have a rebate.

Isn't this like putting multiple toilets in your bathroom?? Why would you?
I use the 6800 as it has no camera (security reasons on some sites) besides the rent a cops are less likely to 'misplace it' when i have to check it at more secure locations.

The razr is a spare phone that seems to work better in certain locations (Parts of W.Va, Fl, Alaska, Utah, Nv, Tx)
The Palm Treo just works :D /cough sling MMS cough

I had a Treo 650 before my iPhone. I still feel nostalgic for it every once in a while. . .

I had a BB Curve 8310 that I got when I started my new job since they reimburse for cellular. Before that I had a Sanyo Katana for about 18 months with Sprint. Used that and the BB simultaneously for 7 months until I got my iPhone 3G!

I went from a Sony Ericsson K790 to an iPhone, then to an Iphone 3g. I miss the great camera of the k790, which on was of the first phone to have a real xenon flash.

I had a Sony Ericsson s710a. I loved the way the phone twisted to open, but if felt like a brick in my back pocket.

I had a Nokia N95 8GB. An amazing device as a matter of fact. I was very happy with its photo camera (5 MP) and its video capabilities:

And before that, I had Sonyericsson smartphones... a P900 and then, its successors a P910 and finally a P990i. They were both interesting devices but they had lots of bugs. Firmware updates were not able to correct all of them. And they had too little memory for the kind of beast they were:
