It's 4-6 weeks here in Switzerland.
Any color/model.
I'll check the local (physical) store tomorrow if they have display units at least, so I can make up my mind about it.
I'm not going to order something (unseen) that is only supposed to be available in 6 weeks.
I'll just wait until it actually ships in volume, instead of homeopathic amounts.
Also, hopefully by then the Chinese workers will have more routine in building them and will not be putting out a dud for every 2nd or 3rd unit (like it happened with a lot of earlier-generations MBAs).

I really, really dislike paper launches.

Absolutely, a Mac is far from an IOS device, the idea that it`s better to launch via online order is ridiculous given the very nature of a computer with physical keyboard. Nor are there likely to be vast lines for a $1300 - $1600 upwards device.

I really don't understand why everyone is so offended. Order it online and enjoy it next week...

Im offended, I'm Italian, i carry CASH MONEY on me always. I use my debit Paypal business card sometimes obviously if I'm short. Anyway i like to walk into a store and if i like something walk out with it CASH, CAPISH!? I guess debit is the same technically. How can i know i like it if they don't even have display models available.

Don't be FOOLED, they know what they are doing. The wanted that Apple watch try on to be ALL eyes. At least thats how i see it.

But hey Apple won't miss my $1,300 I'm sure. Ive already cooled out from the hype, & thinking about waiting for MBR V2 with all the skylake talk.

Why in the heck would I order a $1,300 product without first taking the opportunity to check it out in person?

Isn't having a demo unit that you can touch and see with your own eyes one of the whole points of having a brick-and-mortar store?
