I'm showing up at 3 am at my local Apple store and praying that they miraculously have the white in stock. It could happen right?

If they don't I'm just gonna rush out and not even play with a black iPhone 4 if they have them on display. I want white and that's final!

I didn't want a white one until I saw them in their bumpers. But I bought black based on the thought that white around the screen is an unknown. Bezels are historically dark and I'm concerned on what the white will do to the overall screen appearance. But they look spankin'.

I love the white from the back, but am a bit concerned also about the contrast against the front screen. I feel the black front provides a greater dimming effect for videos.

I wish they'd release the Obama design -- white on the back, black on the front.

But I got black! And I plan on buying a white back and maybe white front from some "fix it yourself" website because I am guessing apple won't let you trade in your phone for a different color. I really loved the white, too bad, but maybe this will be the answer to all of us people that pre-ordered and didn't get the color we wanted!

I wanted black and I ordered black so I will be very happy, I actually like the back of the white iphone 4, but I really don’t like the way the front looks, it reminds me of the old iPods, in my humble opinion, they just look dated and I don’t like my new tech to look dated. I will say for those that want something different, that’s the ticket, but that is certainly not for me. No offense to anyone, that is just my opinion.

How exactly do you figure? Youll have a 2 year contract on that line... If you want to buy another iPhone 4 you're stuck paying the full freight of $699 for the 32GB, or activate a new line and get stick paying for that each month, or finally you could pay an ETF, which I hear AT&T raised to $300+ this time around. So how can profit be made here? Is someone gonna pay hundreds of dollars more for something they can buy new themselves way cheaper?

I'm a pretty avid ebay seller and don't see this likely working out, unless you wanna take some loss somewhere...

Ive had a contract with ATT since the first iphone, renewing my contract another 2 years each time. Im about 99.9% sure they are releasing an updated blacksn0w to unlock, from following the dev team on twitter. locked iphone PREORDERS are selling right now on eBay for 900+. Unlocked sell for ~200 more

Yeah I don't get it either. They must be assuming they will/can unlock the Black one before unloading it and make a profit that way.

So let's say you unlock it. You still need to get over $800 to make a profit after the taxes on your new white iPhone and the eBay fees of selling your black one.

I was wavering yesterday from my commitment from day one of the WWDC (and on pre-order day, waited up all night to pre-order, then obviously it was unavailable), considering if it was really worth it to wait out for white (even my girlfriend says I should get black..), and I've finally decided to stick with my commitment through late July (if a date is announced within a month of late July, I will wait) but no longer.

while both colors are very nice, it doesn't matter to me. I'll be putting a case & screen protector on it, ASAP. Hence, why I prefer to get my hands on an iPhone 4 right away.

Man all you guys that are chill with waiting, I dont know how it's possible literally. It was impossible to get your hands on a new iphone in my town. You literally had to call daily or be at the store at the right time when they got their shipment. I dont know about you, but I was never lucky enough for there to be a 3GS in the store when I called. I dont have an Apple store, I assume that's the reason, but it's pretty much now or wait a really long time for me. I dont know if that's the problem with anyone else but that's the boat I am in. I just wish they would build an Apple store in Bakersfield, CA.

3+ malls with AT&T stores within 20 miles and an apple store 15ish miles away. I got my 3GS last August. I never really see the need to own something the minute it comes out. Its not like they will run out and stop making them. Rather stress over more important stuff like working on my golf game. In the end its just a phone.
