Is that the ring or pop socket thing ?

The decision for only esim for us iphone versions is not going away , Why dont you get an iphone from canada or europe that has a physical sim, or even the singapore/china/malaysia version that comes with two physical sims , it still comes with international warranty
Too much money and to much trouble for me.

I’ve decided that I’m going to return both 14 Pro and Pro Max phones.

The 13 Mini is still a beast for my day-to-day use that I should save my money this time around. I love the form factor and sharp screen.

I guess it also helps that I replaced my destroyed iPhone Mini 13 last month at the Apple Store for $230 (dropped and lost it on rollercoaster 🤣), which means I have at-least another good 2 years before I will need a battery replacement.

Now if I was going to do some traveling in the near future, I would’ve kept the Pros.

That mini really is a great little phone, but I’m enjoying my bigger screen now, and no longer second-guessing myself.

Yeah the Pros are so good. But I won’t utilize one to its full capability at this time so instead of splurging on a new phone I just ordered an Andar Navy blue case for my 13 Mini instead, haha.

I am the worst at this so don’t listen to me….. I loved the mini battery was my issue so I just went all in and said I’ll get the phone that has the best of everything (13 PM at the time) and I am content. The main thing I think about is how bad old photos of me as a kid look and by having the absolute best camera quality (on a phone) I’ll always have the best highest resolution photos of my family and having the 4k 60fps video makes recording amazing.

How does one remedy a situation like this?

Loving the 14 pro. I like the DI over the notch, love the screen real estate, and am happy to have macro photography again - it’s one thing I really missed when I moved to the mini.

However, I do not love the weight. I had a 13 pro before my 13 mini, so I know I will get used to it over time. Heck I even went to Apple yesterday and tried a 14 pro max in store considering buying it (not that it really weighed much more than the regular pro), but after a couple days, I am now really missing my lightweight 13 mini.

So how do you choose between features you really enjoy or a size/weight you really love?
Weight and size to me are big issues I don’t want to compromise on. I mean I don’t take pictures for a living. I take pictures of food, friends, pets, receipts etc… I don’t need the best camera. You don’t even need the best camera for social medics sharing. So that’s how I can forgo a macro lens or zoom lens. It’s just not going to matter.

are you getting used to the weight?

I am actually. Maybe part of it was just deciding I was sticking with it. I mean I had a 13 pro coming from a regular 12, and didn’t find that so bad, but coming off the mini it was just such a noticeable difference. I’m actually really glad I wound up going back to it though - it does have a lot of positives for me. I absolutely love having the macro camera, and certainly having more screen is a plus. I also never realized how much I was charging my mini - not that it was ever a problem for me to do it, but dang - this thing holds a charge forever.

All in all, I hate that I did the whole indecisive bit, but I’m glad I‘m happy and settled with my decision.

My pants keep falling down with the 14 Pro.
I didn't have this problem with 12 mini.
But I do like the larger screen and macro camera.
And most importantly, I love the AOD.

might help with the pants

I’m happy you got things figured out! Indecision is definitely a problem with these Apple products sometimes. I had no plans to ever go back to the Pro Max size after downsizing to the 13 Pro last year, but my 14 Pro battery life is way lower than expected, so I’m currently looking to get a Pro Max. I’m really hoping I don’t regret it because I want to an Apple Store just a couple weeks ago and thought the Pro Max was way too big for daily use, but I guess battery life is a higher priority for me than I realized, and the bigger screen will be nice, too.

I always planned to go pro max this year, but coming off the mini, the pro was a big enough adjustment, although it’s feeling really good now after not handling the mini anymore since Friday. I think my problem was continuing to go take the mini out and hold and compare them. Haven’t done that this time, and it’s not feeling so big to me now.

Maybe next year or the year after on the pro max for me. ;-p

I’m in your same boat. I’ve been using the 12 mini then 13 mini then got the 14 Pro and I couldn’t get used to it. After multiple days trying I just kept missing the comfort of the 13 mini. Yesterday I returned the 14 Pro and back to my dear 13 mini. No regrets.

Like some others here, I went back to the 13 mini. I realized I rarely use my camera, so that was not relevant, and I am always by a charger at work. The screen on the pro devices are incredible, but I value portability over all else. I didn't realize how much I use my phone 1 handed until I went away from the mini for a weak. I guess I am on this train until apple brings back a mini line or the phone craps out on me.

I dropped off my 13 mini at UPS this morning to complete the trade-in. I may have shed a tear or two. I gave myself a full week with the 14 Pro, and then pivoted back to my mini over the weekend.

And despite loving and defending the Mini, the Pro won out. Yes, it's heavy, bulky and unwieldy. Yes, it hurts my hand to hold it for more than a few minutes. Yes, I got my first pop socket (the slide-stretch) to help manage that. But the better battery, better screen, and better camera won out.

The Mini still has a place in the lineup (my daughter upgraded from the SE to the Mini and loves it), but for the next two years, I'm going pro.

I sent mine off today. May have also shed a tear. However, when I arrived home, my clear glitter Loopy for my 14 pro was in my mailbox, so the tears dried up quickly! :)

Android needs to do an ad against the 14PM with the Pants on the Ground song

For my use pattern the 13 mini is a favored over the advance features of the Pro. The ipad mini is my main mobile device.
