iOS is all I give a damn about. I get the latest iPhone every year because it has great hardware specs and obviously I love the software, iOS. Every year I know I’ll have the latest hardware installed on the iPhone that was worked on to get it close to work to perfection. So I don’t mind paying $1,159 every year. I save more than that a month after paying bills and mortgage. Plus I’m already on this fluid Apple ecosystem with 2 iPad pros, wife and I have an iPhone X on pre-order (my delivery date is Nov.3rd and hers is Nov. 7 bwahahahaha), 2 4K Apple TVs, 2 Apple watches, 2 MacBook Pros, etc. Everything works flawless for me so I’ll stick with it. Why change to another product when everything is flawless for me? It will
be the same thing next year and so on and so on.

I hate to say this, but Google Pixel 2. Grainy screen or not, it has the best camera and everything is smooth as butter.

As much as I like the idea of the Pixel 2 XL, I feel Ike I'm too invested in Apple's operating system.

Last time I used android was back with the Galaxy S3. I realize a lot has changed since then but I could probably spend the time I would need to get used to android on other things.

My friend has a Pixel 2, I got some hands on time with it and it was lightning fast. I didn't have it side by side with an iPhone, but the phone has come a long way. The bezel shape was strange though, seemed like they were thicker, but the glass that sits on top is thinner in width than the screen, so the design is a little strange. Each time I use a new Android phone I am surprised how far it's come.

well i want to get iPhone X but i am not sure about the size since i love my 7 plus size. I have ordered X for my wife, i will get it on Nov 3 and i will try it, if i like it i will go for it otherwise iPhone 8 Plus it is!

in the rare case that I won’t be impressed with my X..

My plan B will be to take it to a Verizon store and exchange it for the BlackBerry KeyOne.

Dude that phone is SICK. Love love love blackberry. The keyboard having the swipe functions is what honestly sold me.

Had I known that phone was out before ( saw it today at Best Buy for the first time ) I pre ordered my X, I would have been typing on that instead.

I take back the iPhone X within 14 days and pickup the 8+. Already had the 8+ but I took it back for the X. I did love the 8+ and would have no problem going back to it.

You too, huh? X looks nice and all, but...this will be very different for me...that's for sure.

Skip to about 6:30. The problem is obvious. The Pixel 2 uses plastic at the antenna lines and did nothing to enforce the phone. The result? It splits with almost zero effort. There goes your ip67 water resistance!

I know Apple iPhone's have had Antenna Gate or Bend Gate... I never thought I'd witness "Antenna Bend Gate" from Google. Nobody has complained about this?

what would an example be of it not doing it for me?

i mean, if it happens to have a serious defect (like- it explodes), i'm sure i'll seek alternatives at that point but, beside something like that..

not doing it for me? i really don't foresee that happening.

Japan vacation, 2018.

Most smartphones don't really do it for me anymore. I know many here upgrade to the latest and greatest phone every few months to a year but I can go for 2-3 years now before my ADHD and wanting something new creeps up again. Or when it starts to breakdown out of the blue, whichever comes first.

OP, that BlackBerry KeyOne is my favorite phone design of 2017. No glass rears! Yay! Only thing I wished it had was Snapdragon 835 but could understand for the long, long battery life. Wished it was $200 cheaper. Best BB design since the 9900. It's Bold 9900 and the BB Classic remixed.

Hope Kim picked up one of those.
