i am more concerned about the size. i wish Apple had released iPhone X Plus as well with 6.3 inch screen and 7 plus body size!
fwiw..
if the X was scaled up to match the size of a 7+ body, in a way similar to how the X size relates to the normal 7 size, it would have a 7.2" screen.

I just hope the next iPhone is wider. I would prefer is more wider. I don’t like the tall narrow look. But nothing big for me to change my mind. Not at all.

Been to Japan once back in April 2009 but only for five days with my family. YATTA! Stayed in the Ginza district. Saw Shibuya, Roppongi Hills, and Akihabara.

Saw mostly Tokyo. Cleanest country I have ever been to. England is probably the 2nd. Cherry blossoms were blooming. Couldn't see Mt. Fuji because of weather.

I always loved the Japanese culture. That's where Apple was inspired from. Asian influences. Sony. Buddhism. Minimalism. Going back because I never really got to see Japan the way I wanted and only had less than a week to see it.

I love Japanese women too just like how many young women check me out. 😉 Can't blame parents for passing on some good genes. Anyhoo, chasing women isn't my vice. Well, not anymore when I had many. Gets too complicated. Going to Japan for myself. If Japan is too expensive, might try cruise ship. Never been on one.

Types of videos I have on my phones - Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern, Samantha Brown, and Jaime Dempsey. Tony and Sam in Japan are two of my favorites. Lighthearted travel videos while watching them eat and have fun. Music was so chill.

Of course, I never leave the house without Bob Ross to doze off to or Married With Children, Family Guy, and Futurama to listen and laugh to. I Love Lucy mid-50's band music and Gilligan's Island too. I prefer Android because MX Player Pro can make me listen to my shows and isn't picky with the format like iTunes would.

I would listen to the Shenhua theme from the Shenmue Cassette app on Android just because I love to relax to it. I play Ninja Arashi on my phones just so I can listen to the music. Want to visit China and South Korea too. Getting new gadgets is cool and all but it doesn't really fulfill me spiritually and emotionally.

I love my parent's dog named Charlie over any of my gadgets. Charlie looks like iJustine's dog Matty but a little bigger and cuter. Charlie is a chick magnet. We would go hysterical if we lost him. He loves me back and repays with loyalty. Think of the ending to Futurama's "Jurassic Bark."

While companies and celebrities don't care about us but some would be slaves to them. I have loved mobile phones since 2004 and carried one since 1999. I'm as hardcore as Michael Fisher, but life can offer us so much more. So $1100+ for a Japan trip or wild cruise ship vacation instead.

Speaking of Japan, forget everything you read about flip phone popularity. It’s iPhone country by a huge majority. Second most common was Sony phones.

I rarely saw a Samsung. Flip phones were also rare sightings.

Back to the SE. I'll probably do that anyway as I'm used to the small size now, the bigger phones confuse and infuriate me these days

We'll see

For that price; X is plan A-Z and will be more than capable of handling my mobile needs🙂. Absolutely 0 contingency

Plan B is going back to my 7+ until the iPhone x+ comes out.

I don't think I can go back to android at this point, I have just become too comfortable with iOS.

but in all reality I don't think i will have any problems with this phone.

I'm upgrading to the X via IUP, which means my 7+ will already be traded in. I guess I could just buy an 8+ instead and see what next year holds.

Oh and Android really isn't an option since I'm so deep in the Apple ecosystem.

I won't hate it. I might not love it as much as I thought but it's still more screen than my iPhone 7 at basically same footprint. So there is no going back to a 4.7" and I still don't want a plus. So no plan B. Like Fonzie might say "it's Ayyyyyyy all the way." - with at least one thumb up. (Geez I just dated myself bad). Heh.

It's going to be ride or die with the X this year for multiple reasons. My current phone is a 6+ with touch death syndrome, i'm not interested in moving away from iOS after I just bought so many products to complete my Apple ecosystem, and finally it's only 10 months until the X+, which i know will be the perfect phone for me. So unless something else comes out that is unreal and beats the iPhone significantly in many important areas, i'll stick with it.

Plan B is I will stick withe 7 Plus...no interest in Pixel 2 or Blackberry. They just feel cheap to me. Note 8 would be a distant backup if I had to choose something other than iOS

I saw plenty of flip phones this year. Just as in previous years. The key is most people see to have a primary smartphone phone. However, as a secondary / work phone its almost always a flip phone. And just about anyone with a job in a big city has a work phone.

It was about 50/50 split in Tokyo or Osaka, but in other areas like Aomori, Nara or Kyoto the Sony was still the most popular smartphone or tablet that I could see.

No plan B, stick to it even if I hate it!

Just kidding, I will either keep my 7+ or go with the 8+. I would like to test out the Pixel 2, but I am to deep into the Apple ecosystem, especially I am also using the AW3 LTE.
