Did i miss something? Is macrumors a british site? if so i'd think it would be a .co.uk url. is it just that there is a significant mac user demographic in the UK? don't get me wrong, i love the british! rule britannia! i've just wondered it for a while.

Indeed there are quite a few of us that are from the UK. Gives Macrumors a nice international flavour that's missing from other Mac-centric sites.

I like the Brits. I like the fact this site is so international. I'e said it before but this place is a pretty cheap and fun way of learning other people's cultures.

I like having the Brits around. When I was six, my family moved to France for over a year and my only friend there was a bilingual English lad who I spent most of my time with. Needless to say, by the year's end I have picked up a new accent and many new mannerisms and sayings. It's mostly faded by now, but I can still intentionally turn it on strong if I don't want to be Canadian for a little while, and I retain a fondness for British culture after spending so much time in his household.

funny story about a british person. my friend's mom was near san diego and was lost, looking for La Jolla, but she was going around pronouncing it without the silent J, so it was "La Jawla" I feel bad for her and of course dont blame her. Imagine an english speaker in france...

Psh, and the Canadians are chopped moose liver, eh?

You got that right. And the brits live on an island created from/on sheepdung.
Come to think of it, so do the aussies and kiwis.

And I like all 3 countries, perhaps because of that...
Was it the Moose dung that I liked in NFL?

Ok i retract my previous statement, and in place create this, if you live anywhere here, I am glad to make your acquantance.

There was no way i could post a map without offending anyone, the centre of the map i believe runs from Greenwich Meantime.

Hey, I wasn't offended. It was in another era that this line was randomly put
on the globe. It was a nice coincedence seeing that map together with a post from someone from London.

But next time center the map more east please.... :)

If you have one of those round globes the entire world can be the centre of the universe.. it all depends on your perspective.;)

What are these so called round globes that people keep talking about???
The earth is flat, and you know it! :)

I'm a Canadian ex-Londoner living in Oz. What does that make me?

i dont know what that makes you but it makes me confused.. how did you do that?

Little off topic, but its so cool to see all the nationalities work together, and to see how the threads shape according to the time zones, eaerly in the morning I will see the ozy people, then the brits, then late at night the yanks... so cool! :D

I agree, it is very cool to see everyone work together, even with the time zone differences. :)
