I can't complain too much because I'm getting the model I wanted - but it really makes me sad how many scalpers are around me in the front of the line. It may be lucrative, but there are people here who will miss out on the phone they want because of them. And that sucks.

How to they buy it now. I heard it's one per customer, and it's only contract phones on day 1?

Yep always suck.... Apple should enforce all devices locked to payment account for 1 month :)

It's the same with people who buy concert tickets specifically with the goal of reselling them for huge profits.

Theres like 100 scalpers here at Ridge hill mall Yonkers. Im typing this from apples mac pro while they get my phone 6 :)

if theres a demand for it, it will happen.

Too bad people out there stupid enough to purchase off these scalpers at inflated prices.

To Apple a sale is a sale.

surprised its not worse due to China not allowing sales of the 6 anytime soon.

Tons of scalpels here in Ontario too. Had someone ask me if I was only getting one phone could I get a second for him and he would pay me because he wanted more than 4 (2 for him, 2 for his girlfriend). Ridiculous.

Damn, how busy is ridge hill? Thinking of going there or the westchester (or Greenwich ave) once I get my phone delivered to get a leather case, but I'm guessing it's going to be quite hectic.

Scalpers are entitled to iPhones as much as any other Apple customer is.
Stop complaining about it.

The delay in the iPhone's release in China will be a boon for scalpers as well as airlines who will be seeing countless Asian travelers with suitcases full of iPhones. Overseas shipment of lithium batteries is prohibited by most if not all couriers so passenger transport will be necessary. They're like iPhone mules.

You are the reason for scalpers. If people weren't so stupid to line up for something for 2 days, there wouldn't be any scalpers. No demand, no supply.

Sure, because Apple doesn't want to sell as many phones as possible.

Not true. All the Asian scalpers will be shipping them off to China. They would do it even if no one lined up.

The non pre order line is insane i really feel bad for them and its cold

As long as there is rampant consumerism in the world, there will be scalpers. Everyone being so desperate to get the latest and greatest makes it possible for these people to profit.

If you have the Apple Store App you can buy accessories without waiting on an employee. It does feel strange just walking out with it though. :)

Had my order with AT&T worked correctly -- I am still peeved about it -- and someone offered me twice what I paid for it, heck yeah I'd sell it. Some fool out there would pay for me to get a free phone by me just waiting a few extra weeks.

Now that's different from people who get in line or whatever with a plan to sell it. I also want to go  at the places that get one just to tear it down to show me what's inside. Unless those are non-production models specially given to them by Apple or whomever, WHY DO YOU KILL A PERFECTLY GOOD PHONE?
