I say get an Ipod Touch so you have all the fun gadgets that come with an iPhone and switch to a company that provides real service in your area. Best of both worlds (although a little expensive).

Skipped some of the thread but i agree with people saying its ATT not the iphone. I don't have ATT but the first call i made with my iphone the person on the other end said I sounded really clear with out me asking and he didn't even know i had an iphone.

Anyway to the OP. I would suggest jail breaking and unlocking like a few others have suggested. Win-win.

Not sure what's up there man, but I've had an iPhone since launch day and now have an iPhone 3G. I live, work and go to school in Manhattan and so long as I'm not in my steel office building 38 floors up, I get adequate reception. 🙂

Stick with your iPhone, especially since iPhone OS 3.0 is being released in the near future. Since you had your for 2years, you don't need to sign any more contracts and can leave at will should the newer software not pan out for you.
