So... No white iPhone 4?

That bumper looks nice, it's the only one I've seen that I like, but at $49.99 I think I'll pass.
I doubt it will be out before January if there ever is going to be one.
Even if Apple does have one in January or February would you get one knowing that an iPhone 5 is coming out in 4-5 months.
I would give up and get a black one now or wait till next June for the ip5

Lot of doom-mongers here talking about Jan/Feb....
Best case scenario is that the white iPhone 4 will be released in October, worst case scenario a month later, in time for the holiday season (which is Thanksgiving over there).
Either way, soon enough. I've waited patiently thus far, a little bit more isn't going to kill me, not whilst my white 3G is happily doing everything I need it to.

I have a white 3G & its great looking.
Im now looking at buying a white 4 but it looks a bit odd to me.

It's kind of not talked about anymore. I hope Apple is still working on it and not just forgetting about all together.
I was waiting for the white until it was announced that it was going to be delayed indefinitely, at which point I just went ahead and got the black in late July. Considering that I've gotten almost 2 months use of the black since, I'm glad I stopped waiting, especially since I had a 3g that would become excruciatingly slow.
Didn't Apple say something like 'delayed until later this year?' In mid-September, that's better than indefinitely and beats the Jan/Feb predictions.
Well, I say indefinitely because it's been constantly delayed, and we still have no real idea when it'll come out. But yes, you're right that 'later this year' is much better than Jan/Feb. I hope it does come out soon for all those waiting. =)
I certainly wouldn't spend $300 on something, just so it would be outdated in 6 months.
No one has any idea and any one throwing dates, timeframes, and predictions out there is just making things up.

Same. That's why in December/January I advised people not to buy the 3GS and just wait for the new iPhone. It seemed most people were going that route. It was more for people that had the iPhone 3G/2G. Since the iPhone gets refreshed every year, that's a big plus to me. I would hate to be on Verizon and get an Android phone only to see a month later that it's outdated. Droid Incredible came out in June, Droid X July, and Droid 2 was in August.

Yes the program comes to a stop on Sept 30 but No they haven't stopped the ability for new customers to obtain a free case.. all they're doing is making it more leg work. Thankfully for me I dont mind going the extra length for a free case.
The ONLY way to solve it once and for all is to fix the antenna, simple. Therefor if customers go in to genius bar there wont be nothing to complain about, as there will no longer be a death touch issue... if some of you dont suffer the problem..great, good for you

There won't be any redesign. The next redesign will happen with the next iteration of the iPhone. Any change now to the existing model would be PR suicide.

, anyway my point still stands. Furthermore I didn't say Apple will do a redesign, of course not. But improvements to the iPhone 4 antenna? I think thats highly possible. They either nip it in the bud now or continue to offer free cases for the life of the iPhone 4... I can't see the latter being a viable option.
Anyone who has bought and kept their iPhone 4 have shown they are content, so why would there be a PR suicide?
they might as well just get it ready for the 5 by the time its ready the 5 will be around the corner.

The only thing that concerns me is if they bring out devices with improved antennas at the end of September, but then again I have a 14 day cool off so will return mine if that is the case.

so your exclusivity (and being cool) is going to cost you $300+ to modify and instantly void your 1 year warranty, yup, totally worth it just to be the talk of the town and gain social status for a few weeks.
