A Soft case for a soft phone will not work.

Hardcore apologetica will do nothing and let it bend. They will denia it is even bent.

The typical fan will just buy a case for it and say its the greatest phone even

Smart apple fans will buy a different phone, androids or windows. Why reward bad engineering?

There's one more group of people that you ignore... People who has zero bending issue.

Well people called it, there is a widespread 'issue' that has gone viral and on the media etc with all the bending stupidity (it's made out of the stuff they make pepsi cans with, what do you expect bro...do you even lift?).

With iPhone 4 they gave out bumpers...will they give out free silicone cases? Because that would be sweet. I'm all for free stuff.

They will give pants or jackets to everyone and a select few will get a pair of pants and jacket!!!

The solution will undoubtedly depend on how prevalent the issue actually becomes.

Well said. Unfortunately there is much more bashing on both sides of the fence. One side is calling people idiots for bending their phones. The other side is calling people idiots for not freaking out at this "terrible problem".

Yeah, I noticed that too. Many comments are like "don't wear skinny jeans" and just as many are like "PHONE IS AS WORTHLESS AS A TOOTHPICK". It's way immature all around.

I think it will be similar to "antenna-gate" where everyone got a bumper for free. Apple may find a cheapish metal band just to strengthen it that little bit. If they can even replicate the problem. I have a 6 and while a tiny bit paranoid, I'm not returning the phone over it. I've ordered a TPU case and a hard plastic case. They are cheap on eBay. Yeah ok, they are not high quality and you can get better ones, but it will strengthen it a bit more.

Theres cheap solutions or Apple may find something. If they do find something wrong, then they will fix it. Its so annoying how when something goes wrong with iPhone, the news and some people make it seem like these things are exclusive to iPhone and no other phone or anything like it does it.

Antenna-gate wasn't exclusive to iPhone 4.
"Bend-gate" isn't exclusive to 6/+.

Heres an idea. Carry round a 4.7/5.5 inch wide 6.9/7.1mm thick bit of aluminium in your pocket for the day. See what happens.

You think that.

But only because you haven't thought things through and synthesized all the facts.

You haven't been able to grasp to what small degree this is even significant.

There are other things making this have so much momentum, none of which has to do with the solidity of the device.

the device is solid ENOUGH. Ive held it in my hand.

Ok so far I have read of three well two people having their phoned bend when in their pants without any case....one rod on YouTube who calls it "science" just bends it which isn't hard!! So as of now I don't see this as an issue. Im sure as we speak Apple is looking into this....what is funny every flagship phone this year has had issues out the gate! However, when it is Apple and they have one their most successful launches a course people will look for reasons to beat them down! I am coming back from android....had the HTC One M8, had to return it three times!!! All three times I had a speck case on it too! The phone is known to have a plastic camera lens on the back that scratches very easily in your pockets! It is said on forums they also put some coating on it! It was horrible!! Again if this was Apple all hell would break loose! Look at the LG G3 and the lag issues that phone had out the gate...many had to root it or uninstall a majority of software to get it running approatly! Then there is the issue with color accuracy the phone was having as well. Finally the Oneone plus one..I had that prior to 6 plus and really liked! But I was lucky no yellow screen, but the bezels would chip in cases and it did act up from time to time and the back cover would wear without a case. Then their is Samsung, I hold all judgement until the Note 4 comes out, I used to own the Note, Note 2, S3, and bought the Note 3 on launch day and returned it that day!! Horrible lag issues with touchwiz and the cheap bezels and body structure. My point....nothing is perfect!! Be careful with larger phones and I recommend a case, as of now I see two to three people who unfortunately had their phones bend and one guy bend it on purpose that's it.

The amount of people sticking their heads in the sand in this thread is laughable. Why shouldn't a discussion or a dialogue about a seemingly "premium" device be bought to the table, regardless of whether or not YOU have had this issue, we as consumers, even if it affects a small number of people can and should make a loud noise about this, to warn potential buyers and highlight the pitfalls of such a device

Why should you change your lifestyle for a freaking phone?

Somebody mentioned wearing cargo pants? Are you serious, why should you compromise and alter your life to fit the "Apple way" rather than admit Apple have made a hash of things

Yeah, some of these people either have a very insular view of the world or they just cannot allow themselves or others to criticize Apple for any reason. It is an issue because enough people have complained to make it an issue. You can't group every person who has an issue with their iPhone as irresponsible or an idiot. Apple needs to fix this even if it is only a handful of people having the issue but that doesn't seem to be the case.

How could you possibly know every persons reason for a bent iPhone 6+... What an ignorant general statement to make.

Your general statement is ignorant. Since when is it a company's responsibility to appease every customer? When you have millions upon millions of customers, making every single one happy will never happen. Almost every single issue I have seen with a bent iPhone 6 was due to the user.

Don't buy a square block and complain it doesn't fit in a basketball hoop.

 OMG, it is Apples responsibility when it is a clear design flaw.

The bend test video we all know was unfair they need to use a new iphone 6+ without any bend.

If you see the video of the test the iphone 6 + was already damaged, and as you know a bend aluminum is a lot easier to bend. If the iphone 6 + of the video was 100% ok I am sure that it will not bend or it will be too difficult to bend.

Why nobody is speaking about this? Maybe the iphone 6 + was placed in the back pocket and that caused to bend, then after already having a bend issue it is easier to bend it with your hands.

It would be great that some one try to bend a new iphone without any bend to see how hard it is. Maybe it will be as hard as the iphone 6

Also I am sure that the iphone 6 + bends more easily because of heat, all metals bend easier when you heat them. If your are in a heat place or your iphone is too hot it will bend easier.

Someone needs to make more tests about the bend issue with more heat, cold, and more.

With 20 million visits the bend iphone 6 + video is too popular but I think it was done incorrectly and that video is an unfair test.
