I'm happy with my IP6+ through I've come to the realization that for me, and my usage habits its just too big. I end up selling it this summer and get an iPhone 6s/6c that will presumably be coming out this fall.
Exactly this for me, too. I don't hate my 6 Plus. I have reveled in the glory of its large screen many times. And I have it encased in a slim sleek wallet case that makes it as nice to hold and carry as it could possibly be to hold and carry a phone that big.

But when I need a big beautiful screen I have my Retina Mini for content consumption and web surfing. My typing is horrid no matter how big or small my keyboard is so going back to a smaller keyboard won't hurt anything.

I recently got the Apple Watch. It's gotten me fired up about getting up and moving again after an overly long winter as a couch potato. I don't want to lug a giant phone with me on hikes anymore. Yeah I can do it, but I don't want to.

So barring announcements or solid rumors of an even smaller iPhone with good camera in the horizon, I'll be downsizing to a 6s. With the Apple Watch the phone has become less important as some wonderful all-in-one-device I may once have envisioned and less compelling to me than the tandem team of watch and phone and IPad together, each playing its role for me in an optimal manner. To get my optimal team I do feel I need to downsize one of the players and it will be a near perfect Apple experience for me.

I got my 6+ in March and it's the best iPhone and my favorite one as well.

It is big but you guys have to remember that it's very thin too...so the actual footprint of the 6 + isn't TOO big.

Battery life is absolutely amazing and I am so happy to not rely on a outlet anymore.

I tried the plus 2 times. Just couldn't do it. The size was not for me. The only reason I would consider one again, is if I get a job i'm applying to, which would require me to be on my phone heavily.

but glad tons of people like it.

My wife got the 6+, I got the 6.
I think we're both immesely happy with our selections.

We both have less than the greatest eyesight. For me it wasn't a problem when we were on iPhone 5 because I would invariably do most of my e-mail, reading, browsing, etc on my iPad (4th gen). I'd also purchased an iPad for my wife, same gen, but she was always grabbing her phone for everything instead of the iPad. Watching her squint, I'd always ask why she wasn't using the iPad, but she just preferred using one device for everything. She only used the iPad for watching Netflix.

Now with the 6+, she has a nice big screen for easy reading and I don't have to yell at her for squinting. And it fits her purse. Her iPad is still mostly used just for Netflix, and that's fine by me. She is also the primary photographer in the family, so the enhanced photo features are best in her hands.

For me, I still defer to my iPad for most e-mail/text, but between the larger, zoomed screen and dynamic text, the iPhone 6 is comfortable enough for me to read without glasses. Much better than my iPhone 5. But it still fits in a belt case, which was a requirement for me. It's the perfect compromise of bigger size and readability.

I will never get an iPhone smaller than the 6 plus. The last iPhone I had before this one was the 5 and I absolutely hated the size having used other bigger android devices. Very happy with mine.

It's a trade off. You sacrifice having a more manageable device for better screen real estate and battery life.

Battery life on this thing is my favourite thing. It just keeps chugging away, and it's such a luxury not even having to think about it anymore.

My major gripe is software.

Performance is BS. This phone is way too expensive to be showing these issues.

It just never feels as snappy as it should, and there is a slowness that I never expected from a flagship iOS device. I remember using a 5S on release. That felt like greased lightning. It was so responsive. My 6+ running any version of its launch OS can't compete.

iOS is full of bugs. Random UI inconsistencies such as the airplay/airdrop buttons in the swipe up just not appearing etc. 3rd party keyboards are also pants. I've used SwiftKey on Android devices for years without issue. It's so poorly implemented in iOS (along with other 3rd party options), that I wonder if Apple themselves have botched it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised, Apple software lacks polish these days (I'm also seeing various issues with my rMBP as well).

Even now I'm trying to edit this message and Safari is lagging like crazy. My phone can't keep up with what I'm trying to do either, the music app on the background starts skipping parts of songs while the phone struggles to keep up. Had to revert to the stock keyboard because 3rd party keyboards don't always pop up when you need them. Have to keep closing the app and going back into them.

Also what is up with Safari? More often than not pages need to reload, I'm guessing they are too intensive? What makes me laugh is that Apple in-store devices advertise websites like kinfolk on the demo loop. Try accessing that page on safari on iPhone. It just crashes.

You would get used to it in no time, and might even end up preferring it.

NOPE. I have used many iPhones in the past till 6 Plus (6 Plus is my fifth iPhone) and always got jealous when my friends got a new Samsung phone because they could not stand small screen anymore. Now I am happy with the Plus :)

The size and ergonomics of my iP6_Plus are good.

Yet I do find the size and ergonomics of my Nexus 6 even better.

I'd be super happy with a 6" display on the upcoming iPhone. But I also remember Apples addiction to small, narrow phones. Maxed at 5.5" I can't imagine them providing a highly useful 6" model. The increase in sales would be too dramatic. ... Kidding.

Those using smartphones for business which is the majority in our company...all groaned in protest till they had the Nexus in hand. Then just like Apple naysayers who changed their tune upon trying a iP6_Plus, Nexus 6 users love it's usefulness. Sure it's not for everyone, but more often than not they fell in love with its spacious screen.

I love my 6+ I'm a large screen person so I had no doubts with the 6+. Only issue I had was my home button after about 3 days started popping and sticking. Took it back to Costco where I bought it and replaced no questions asked though the whole exchange process at Costco was horrible.

After 6 months, I think Im done with the big screen. I love my 6 Plus, but looking to trade for a 6 now. My pinky scratches on the lightning port on the Plus. Its pretty uncomfortable to hold. Feels more natural holding my wife's 6. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

I upgraded from an iPhone 5. I like the iPhone 6 Plus, but I am still considering to sell it this summer and get a regular iPhone 6S.

What I really like:
- More content on the display
- Battery life
- Very vivid display

The fact that every app shows more content is amazing. In news apps you see more headlines than ever before, in texting apps you see a much bigger part of the conversation, etc

Also, the display is really great. Sharp, much better contrast, rely great viewing angles and fantastic colours.

Best of all, battery life. I get roughly double the battery life that I got on my iPhone 5. It's really the best feature.

What I like less:
- It's slightly too wide and slightly too long
- Occasional hiccups
- Multitasking is terrible compared to iPhone 5
- iOS 8 is still quite buggy

The iPhone 6 Plus is slightly too large. I feel like it is slightly too long and especially slightly too wide for comfortable one-handed usage.

Also, I encounter occasional hiccups. The framerate that drops for a second or so, music playback skipping a beat when using the device, etc. It's definitely been improved with iOS 8.3, but I never encountered similar hiccups on my older iPhone 5.

Multitasking is also no fun. Apps constant get lost in memory, which makes quick switching between apps nearly impossible. iOS 8.3 has improved on this, but my old iPhone 5 running iOS 8 performs much better when it comes to multitasking. 1 GB of RAM was a mistake for iPhone 6 Plus.

Last, but not least, iOS 8 has generally been quite buggy. Safari is especially a mess. Not only does it reload pages a lot due to a lack of RAM, but it also lags and crashes daily. Sometimes it even crashes to the home screen.

Missed chances:
- Landscape mode
- Two-window multitasking

There are two big missed chances. First one is landscape mode. Apps make less use of it than I had hoped. Also, usage is inconsistent. For example, when in landscape mode open an app that supports landscape. Sometimes, the app simply opens in portrait mode, unlike on iPad, where all apps immediately know the orientation of the device.

Second missed chance is two-window multitasking. A larger display offers the opportunity for better multitasking: why can't I watch a YouTube video while texting someone, for example?

Conclusion
The only thing really great about the iPhone 6 Plus are its vivid display and drastically improved battery life.

However, little advantage is taken of the larger display. Whatever you can do on an iPhone 6 Plus, you can basically do the same on a regular iPhone 6. No unique features that take advantage of the display, like two-window multitasking.
Additionally, the physical dimensions are a bit too large.

Last, but not least, it appears to perform slightly worse than the iPhone 6. Also, trying to multitask on this device is no fun.

Agreed.
The 6+ pros for me are the screen size, the loudspeaker quality and the battery life.

The cons are the size (yes, both a pro & a con), the weight, the disgracefully insufficient RAM, the fact it performs worse than the iPhone 6 which is obviously due to incorrect hardware spec, and the software bugs.

I have never truly gelled with the size of the phone (one handed use is mainly off-limits & portability is atrocious), plus the lack of RAM gets on my t**s multiple times per day. Throw in the software bugs that were only largely corrected months down the line with iOS 8.3, and the fact my WiFi still drops out numerous times per day, and this thing most certainly hasn't been a joy to own.

However, as much as I would be willing/wanting to downsize next time around, a 4.7" screen just isn't cutting it. The sweetspot for me would be 5 - 5.2" and with slimmed down bezels. If Apple stick with the two sizes currently on offer, I'll have to go for the 6S+ but boy it better have more RAM and guts!

I've had an 6+ since day one. Loved every minute of using it; didn't really care about the negative reviews. Mine has worked like a charm. Awesome screen for viewing content and brilliant battery life.

I loved mine over the course of a few days. My realization and I admit its probably a minority was formed over the course of the past few months. For instance, I have to take my phone out of my pocket as I enter my car. Its mostly habit now but I never had to do that for my 5c. I also own a holster type case so that during the warmer months when I don't have a coat and don't want it in my pants, I can use that.

I do love the battery on the IP6+ I think I've gotten spoiled with how great that is, but I think for me, I'll throw my IP6+ up on Swappa next month or July. I have a windows phone I can fall back on for a few months while I wait for the next model.

I'm not sure what your doing to get low battery usage. I get 12hrs!

I switch it off while sleeping so that amounts to 6 days ish.

I got approx 12 hours of usage until 8.1.2 but since then I get between 8.5 and 10.5, it varies greatly with pretty much the same usage patterns.

I've only had my 6+ since end of March. Before that I had a 5 that I had to
put on my reading glasses to see clearly. I don't have to do that with the 6+.
I also watch youtube video's on my lunch break, so the big screen is nice for
that.
I don't understand how some say the 6+ is not as smooth as the 6. Maybe
I don't use mine as much as others, but everything seems load up very
smoothly on mine.

Agreed, the iphone 6+ is the best phone on the market. But it has some kind of bugs in the safari or ios, like the rotation on theb6+ is large I mean... You will get some more options if you keep the phone on horizontal. And that some features are bugging.

I hope the 6s plus is with more ram and stable ios firmware. But the 6+ is the best. I would go back to lower 5 inch screen.

We know the iPhone 6 has sold very well, but there hasn't been any breakdown of 6/ 6+ sales (as far as I'm aware) I just hope they've sold enough plus phones to ensure that the larger screen iPhones are here to stay!
