We were practically engaged, and it just turned into a very nasty mess over posessions, etc (she wanted to keep stuff that was at her house at the time we broke up, etc..) and just constant bickering back and fourth from both sides. I didn't want to screw up her future, so I restrained from getting one on her, but she did not feel the same about me apparently, lol. They hand the things out to anyone for anything at all anymore, and in my case, I was served with one over nothing, just because she felt 'threatened' that I would try to retrieve my belongings. I am now no longer allowed to own, fire, or be anywhere near a gun or other weapon (its standard procedure, and is a federal felony if I am anywhere near a gun now). I cannot even go hunting with my friends. I have never threatened her, or even thought about threatening her, and have never caused or wished any harm to her. I was stripped of my rights simply because she felt threatened that I would try to get my clothes and computer equipment back.

I will be contacting a lawyer over the next few days (if they dont shut off my phone first!) and hopefully something will be done about this. I dont want to become rich over some BS lawsuit, but instead just want to problem to be solved, and for AT&T to reverse the charges for the calls I obviously did not make.

I think you should go right over to her house and
tell her just how angry and upset you are about all this. It might help to raise your voice a little to get your point across! ;)

BTW have you considered that maybe she found a way to charge up your phone bill? Girls are sneaky like that.

AT&T's other scams! Check this out!

The other day I checked my account on AT&T's website, the due date for my payment was Dec. 6, 2008. So I set an automated payment for the amount due for that date. Yesterday (11/14), I received a paper bill from AT&T and the due date was changed to 12/1. Had I not checked my paper bill, I would have had to pay a $5.00 late fee all because of AT&T misleading me and saying that my payment was due this date one day and then out of nowhere, it's due on another date.

This corporate giant needs to be sued to bankruptcy. Seriously, Ameritech, SBC or whatever you want to call them are one of the biggest corporate scammers of all-time and need to be do away with.

Somebody need to take them down and end their unfair business practices. Why can't a bill be due the same date every month? Why does the dates have to fluctuate? It makes no sense to me and probably makes more sense to them, because it's all about the money. They try to catch you off-guard, so that they can take free money.

The $5.00 late fee that I would have been charged could go toward the CEO's new whatever.

Scandals. Scandals. Scandals everywhere! The people in this world just can't be trusted anymore.

Suing them is going to get you no where fast.

Prove to a judge you didnt make those calls? YOU CANT. Its based on your word, which in this case will be questioned because you have a felony charge on your record.

I say, pay the ETF, go somewhere else, and watch who you date :)

All these cell phone companies are becoming more sleazy than used car salesmen. When I bought my iPhone, I was told than my FAN discount would lower my whole bill by 24%. Not so. Since I am in a family plan, it only lowered the primary account holder's portion. And it didn't even lower the whole portion, it didn't lower the data plan portion.

Now Sprint, who I changed from, slapped me with this enormous final bill - sort of like a parting shot. I swear, I was out of my contract - I checked on the web before I switched. And I don't even know what the large bill is for. I used to get e-bills from them, but now they have disabled my account, so I can't even see what I'm being billed for on their website.

Trash, trash I tell you.

I forgot to say that my AT&T bill is actually for a home phone line. I don't know why I still even have a home phone line when we've been in mobile phone age for a long time now. What a waste of money! :D

That's what you get for switching phone companies! Sometimes you don't need to have the unneeded necessities just to live in this life. The iPhone is a waste of money. Even my siblings are thinking about switching over to AT&T just to get the iPhone and pay the $90+ per month after their Verizon Wireless contract is up.

What the consumers should do is sue Apple & AT&T for having a monopoly on the iPhone. Seriously, it's a monopoly. The Apple iPhone should be equally available to all other carriers. By making it available only on AT&T, Apple & AT&T are entrapping the consumers to signup with AT&T just to have the right to own an iPhone--even if it meant going against their own will to signup with AT&T.

It's like two greedy companies taking advantage of the consumers. You guys can be Apple fans, but you don't really know what's going on behind closed doors. To them, we are the dummy consumers. They are taking advantage of our eager for technology.

Reminds me of a time my fiancee paid Sprint after two months, and they charged her twice, not twice as in both months, she paid the bill in full but somehow Sprint charged her VISA twice.

When she asked them to refund the other half they gave the whole thing back and made her bill WAY past due so they cut her phone off but never got her money back. Fussing ensued then Sprint cut her phone back on, but kept the cash as a credit.

And we are broke, so we NEEDED that money...

The one time I was pissed off at Sprint.
