I went in knowing that she was not going to give me the answers I hoped for. I did it mainly to see responses of different reps as I've read dozens of different ones already and was curious what I would get. I could care less that CS reps have to deal with questions like these. I've been there, so I have no empathy for them. She's getting paid for it isn't she? And answering the same question over and over is easy money for that day.

I don't know about you, but I don't like waiting 2 months for something that is being released in a week, especially having paid close to $500 for it. I get that it's not "important" but this "bizarre" culture you speak of has always been around. It's nothing new for people to want something quickly. Get over it.

I want my phone quickly, too. However, the bizarre culture I am speaking of is the group of people losing their minds over a phone. I have been doing pre-orders since the iP4 and each year it is worse and worse. A degradation in society? Who knows, but this entitlement is ridiculous. If you get your phone on 9/19, be happy. If not, you will still get your phone eventually and life will go on. No matter how much you harass lowly CS reps, the status of your order will likely remain the same.

I read a post earlier where somebody felt they had a chance at litigation against AT&T for mental anguish. That, my friend, is bizarre and not healthy. There is a severe lack of level-headedness in the Apple community.

Yeah, I'm not losing my mind, I just found it unfair that I have to wait so long while others don't having placed their order at a later time. It will probably change but as of now it hasn't. If the ship date changes, great, if not, whatever. I'll complain but I won't go above that. As for that person saying they have mental anguish, that's plain ridiculous lol.

I read an article last year where a girl was crying on the phone to the CS reps or complain her mom was dying with cancer(don't remember the exact details), so the CS moved her shipping date up.

You're a millennial? Right?

I got the same exact email with same dates that you got. Then tonight I got the very same text message. And, yes, they did charge me for it within about 30 minutes of placing my order.

I tried many times to order from Apple but could not get to them. So I finally placed my order with ATT at 7:30AM est.

It's strange that you got the same dates in the email confirmation that I got and you ordered 4 hours before I did.

I am really very disappointed. My i5 has gotten to the point where the battery only lasts a few hours. And I have the yellow streak down the display just like 3 of my previous iPhones developed due to heat in the phone.

I NEED a new phone more than I want one. I thought my November delivery dates were due to my 7:30 purchase time.....now I know that is not the case.

And, just what was the purpose of that text message if I won't see the phone for two months?

Do you know that Apple is replacing iPhone 5 batteries that are out of warranty due to a defect free of charge? You should see if you qualify.

Do you know why AT&T is pushing back orders?

They jumped the gun, so Apple reduced their shipment. It's in the contract, to prevent early release. The techs didn't know though, when they started letting orders through. They thought they were being responsive, no need to be late and get their butts chewed out.

Well they got in trouble anyway.

Wait so is this really true? There's too many pages for me to read back but I pre ordered mine at 3:01am est when the Verizon site made it available for pre order. By 3:05am I had checked out and everything. The page said it will be delivered by 9/19. My confirmation email even says deliver by 9/19. They charged my card for my 16GB 6 but not my 6+. When I look up my order number on Verizon, my 6 says it should be shipped by 9/19. Yesterday it said the same thing for my 6+. Now it's saying "not available at this moment" for my 6+ ship date. What is going on???

This thread was about 6+ and has been muddled a bit. I logged into AT&T at 250am ET and no pluses were available for 9/19.

I doubt pluses were actually available from any carrier for delivery by 9/19.

The mistake made by so many here with each release is ordering direct from your carrier. You don't have to do that.

AT&T has killed me on this before with shifting delivery dates.

Ordered my 6 Plus from Verizon and it is being shipped! Called *611 and this is the message I got "your item was shipped with 2 business day shipping"

Boo yah. So all those silly posts that said none would arrive until October, were just plain silly. Believe what your Confirmation email says! That's why it's called a CONFIRMATION email.

You got a screen shot proving you got a 6 Plus shipped? cuz I think your literally the only person.

hes not the only person unless its a 128gb, if not then others have had their 16 and 64 charged for

I tried to order the 128 gig right from 3:01 am EDT and was unable to even access the Apple store. About 20 minutes to 1/2 hour later I could but the item was marked unavailable and could not be added to the shopping cart. By following morning it was possible to get the order in but only with shipping date of 3-4 weeks. So evidently the 128 gig Plus, at least, was never available for shipping by 'launch day'.

Here ya go. Read and weep. Never said I would get BEFORE the 19th. Getting it on the 19th. Pretty much disproving the title of this thread.

Mine an iPhone 6+ 128 GB Gold AT&T ordered from Apple Store app being prepared for shipment, delivers 9/19. :D

It ain't disproven till you actually receive it. And I still think it's wrong that anyone should be getting it earlier than others who were trying to order at the same time. They should all be held back. But since morality is not a feature of the American business model I know there is no chance of seeing any sense of fairness.

First come, first served is the name of the game. Why penalize those who got in, placed their orders, and got out? I was keeping a close eye on the preorder page from 2-245am to make sure I was one of the first to preorder. As soon as it went live, I was in and experienced zero problems. Out right before 3am EST.

People know every year that the servers are SLAMMED at 3am, and every year, the phone is usually available for preorder a few minutes before 3. That's when you jump on it, get your order in, and be done with it.

Also, not disproven til you receive it? Do you honestly think a phone shipped on 9/14 is going to be HELD UNTIL OCTOBER? If your phone ships within the next few days, heck even Thursday, YOU WILL RECEIVE IT ON LAUNCH DAY.

And that, right there, disproves the inaccurate, panic driving title of this thread.

wow dude, u serious with this?

And the lucky ones always say that about those who were not so lucky because they lack any sense of fair play.

Luck had nothing to do with it. Being persistent and checking for the inevitable "page is up early" did.

Even if I had not gotten in, I would not have been mad about it not being "fair." I realize demand is high and it's not always possible to get what we want when we want it.

And how do you know I was any less persistent? I was doing that for a good hour and a half.
