So what is your excuse for cutting work on Friday?

Just wondering what everybody's excuse is going to be on Friday when they show up late for work getting there new Iphone 6? Umm, I have a screw in my tire, just waiting at the shop and should be in around noon.

I actually had a request prior the Apple announcement because of a concert, Interpol, and at my job even requesting a half day (which is what i wanted since the concert is at night), the person who does the schedule normally just goes ahead and gives you the entire day off because they find that easier.

So iPhone 6 and Interpol on the same day, I'm pretty excited for Friday and to test out the new camera at the show.

Thankfully my boss is an old school apple guy, and a current iPhone enthusiast so I was able to just tell the truth and get the day off with no issues

Not true. I worked with a guy who took a sickie when the iPhone 4S was launched. Turned up with his new phone and we all knew what he had done. He's not working there now!

I'm in the UK and I've got the day off for my iPhone delivery. I hardly ever take leave and needed an excuse to use my entitled days, iphone delivery seemed like an OK excuse to me.
