I'll be working, but will dip out for a bit to pickup my in store pickup preorder. Friday afternoon will be so unproductive :)

Requested the day simply saying I want to wait in line for the me phone and then get some sleep after. It was approved and I was told goodluck :)

I also let my boss know about Apple's replacement program for the iPhone 5 battery and wake button issues, which she was having issues with both those.

Last year I just requested some time off in the morning and still came to work, figured I'd take the whole day off this time since I'll need to be in line even earlier for this launch.

The only day I took off for a launch that was surprising to some people was the Doom 3 launch.

dont need to cut work, just take the day off and get paid to wait in line. The benefits of working for a good company :)

My CFO just scheduled us for an important conference call with our President and COO for 7:30am EST - set to last 2+ hours. Wants me in the office for it. I said I can't come in, but I have to be on it.

Come on, life, really? :(

My delivery is scheduled for 11:45-3:45... if it comes on the early end, I'm definitely taking my lunch on the road. If on the late end, I may just have some very important reason why I need to leave early.

PTO - plenty to burn this year. No excuse needed - but they all know what I'm doing.

And I'm in sales so I'm always tethered to work in some form or fashion.....

I'm working on Friday. At a customer service retail job, (Not Apple retail store) which happens to sell the iPhone 6! If I'm lucky, maybe a customer will come to my desk and return a perfectly flawless iPhone 6 in favor of a different model, so I can buy it and upgrade stress-free.

No lines. No preorders. No worries.

ouch ... my office knows not to even consider scheduling a meeting with me before 10:30a ... I won't be there :p

My iPhone will be delivered to my work...... so no cutting work until it is delivered... :) and then *cough cough*.... nah, just kidding..... ;)

I actually may make it to work by 9. But if not, I'm in a job transition anyway so my current office has no idea where I am each day.

I work for myself so I will be working from the kitchen table tomorrow to make sure I don't miss the door bell.
