i've gotta 2000 ford explorer! greatest truck ever. never failed me and i dont think it ever will!

We've had lots of car threads...have a look around.

That said, I have essentially the same thing as you do...2000 Mercury Mountaineer. It's been a terrific car.

Two feet and a heartbeat.

Can't afford and don't need a car. Everything I need is within walking distance or a bus/train ride.

When I visit my folks I have the choice of a Peugeot 207 or, very rarely, a Peugeot 407 V6.

yes, i figured there have been a lot of car threads. But, ehh, i figured i'd go all out and take a risk today.

and Chundles, your lucky. i wish i was in walking distance of everything that i need or want

Depends on your interpretation of "walking distance" for me that's anywhere from 2 minutes to an hour away by foot.

It's about 2 hours on the bus to my folks' house, an hour and a half on the train to Sydney, about 10 hours bus/train to my mate's place in Albury down on the border.

You just get used to distance down here.

its a 10 minute drive (at 65mph) to the nearest store for me!

You out in the scrub mate? I'm in a city so it's not so bad, go out west here and you get to properties where it's a days drive or so just to visit your neighbour. That's when you need something that can seriously handle the long boring flat that is the Bush.

I don't have one yet, I am only 15.

We have
- 1998 Cutlass V6, "loaded" minus CD player, tan ext, tan leather int (32 mpg)

- 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8, white ext, black leather int (18 mpg)

- 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE-7, black ext, "alpaca tan" int (14 mpg)

- 2005 Volkswagen Touareg V8, pretty much loaded, blue ext, brown int (16mpg)

- 2000 John Deere GT235e 18hp Lawn Tractor w/54" mower deck (ok, that doesn't count)

My Dad has the LR Discovery and the 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass V6 (was grandma's). He uses the Cutlass for his 150 mile round trip daily commute, it gets 32mpg highway. Its a complete piece of crap. The leather feels like plastic, the plastic must be recycled from soda bottles, even the brake, gas, and steering wheel feel cheap. The discovery I guess is his weekend car, snow car, rain car, and my mom drives it to keep the miles done on her 05 Touareg V8. My sister drives my mom's old car, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8. Pictures are available in the car thread in the picture gallery.

My favorite out of all of them is the Discovery. Even though its not the most comfortable car, or the most reliable, and its engine was designed in the 60's, and its dashboard is pretty much the same as the Discovery I from 1989, I really like it.

I have a 95' Nissan Micra (march) and a 99' Nissan Pulsar SSS (sentra)

I used to have a 'very' worked 94' Nissan Pulsar SSS but sold it because it became a little unstreatable for my liking...

I may buy another car this year. maybe a Nissan S15 or something. I sorta like Nissan.

My family has:
2002 Subaru Outback - Mom's Car
2006 Ford F-150 - Dad's Truck
1995 Subaru Outback Impreza - Sister's Car
1995 Chevy Lumina - Brother's Car
2001 Ford Taurus - My Car

My favorite is the '02 Outback. It's so much fun to drive.

Pardon my stupididy, but isn't a truck supposed to have a bed?

Myself, I have an '04 Tacoma.

My old Volvo just passed so I am happy that I get it for 2 more years, here is the breakdown:

My/sisters car: 1988 Volvo 240DL 325,500 miles
Dads Car: 2005 BMW 3.25i 44,000 miles
Moms Car: 2000 Honda Odyssey 140,000 miles

We drive a lot especially my dad, he used to do over 120 miles a day hence so many miles on both the Volvo which he used up until 2005 to drive to work. He bought the beamer and racked up the miles on it, and to think it started with 5 miles:eek:

I love driving the BMW its such a nice car, but the Volvo is also nice considering how old it is. It amazes me that the A/C and heat still work, and the body is in decent condition. I love that its stick, because that way I can enjoy the Beamer as well.

Me: 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
Mom: 2004 Hyundai Sonata
Dad: 2000 Ford Focus (piece of sh*t)
Sister: 2005 Hyundai Elantra

2002 Jeep Liberty Limited
Which is currently at the shop with (approximately, according to the dude I just got off the phone with) a $395 bill attached to it.
