As for a new M6 -- considering I've invested less than $30,000 in all of my cars, I don't think I'm going to be buying a car that costs half as much as my house.![]()
Ahh the Mustang is such a nice car, particularly the '65-'68. Congrats on your racing, that's impressive. I race Autocross in the M6 and go to the track and do friendly racing/lapping on weekends. I've taken those BMW Driver courses too with my car. I figured if I'm buying such a car I might as well spend $1000Cdn on a racing/driving school.
Yeah the M6 is pricy, but each day I get into it, it's such a treat. Just like your race car, it brings a lot of fun to me and I have it paid off 100%. I figure I might as well buy a nice car before I get married & have kids, let alone a girlfriend haha. I just find driving so relaxing, it's just you and the car. Whenever I have a bad day I go for a drive and there is no one to bother me. As an Engineer I guess I just appreciate how much engineering goes into ANY car, it's amazing and how all of the parts work together.
Then when I go to Autocross events it's such a community spirit, everyone is out there helping each other. Then the track days is when you can unleash all your anger pent up all on to your right foot
Poppe, are you an Engineer, I work for Honeywell/Raytheon, unfortunately that means my work and research is being used in Guidance Systems for War
