Sticker was 31085 after options or something really close to that. Get a tax credit of $2600 on top of that when I file next year also. So not to shabby if you ask me. Plus it's fun to drive, and when I show it off, people OOOO and AHHHH at how quiet it is, and all the neat little things they tossed into it.

It's great!

How much is the same car w/o the hybrid engine/system.

I don't have my own car, so I take the MAX (lightrail) everywhere, or make my friends drive me. My parents, and therefore me as well, drive a '99 Outback wagon (stick) and a '04 Honda Pilot (auto). I rarely drive the Pilot as it is too big (it dosen't feel like it fits on the road!), and the Outback is a LOT of fun to drive- I think manual cars generally are. I want him to upgrade to a WRX so that he (and me!) can drive that while I get the Outback, but seeing as he has to put me through college in the next few years I don't think that s going to happen. Ohhh well.

If you take a 4cylinder 07 Camry, toss in all the same options as mine, it comes out to $26,000 but that doesn't include the dvd navigation system or the push button start. The hybrid starts at $25,900.

The hybrid is basically $1,600 more then the 4cylinder counterpart without anything added on. The hybrid also comes standard with the upgraded stereo system with indash cd changer, aux inputs, bluetooth thingy and what not. Minus the tax credit I get, it was cheaper for me to buy a hybrid, plus the gas mileage on it is awesome. 40 in the city estimate is fantastic for Phoenix driving. It's super quiet as well. When it's running off the battery alone, you can't even hear the car at all, it's dead quiet and sexy.

Had a 6 week order time/wait list on it though, but boy was it worth it.

Wow, what's wrong with it?

BTW, lots of Jeep owners in this thread so far. I love Jeeps. :D

I also love Jeeps, particularly the Wranglers.
I have a brand spanking new Ford Focus bought in April but I have to sell it. :(
I also have a Kawasaki ER-5 motorbike. I use the car for long distances, I use the bike for commuting to uni and around the city where parking is sparse.

used '94 Honda Accord with 194,000 miles on it. (we think the previous owners did a lot of driving.)

edit: runs grat too. had an oil leak one time but other than that nothin.

hmm am I the only one here who see a lot of kids driving much nicer cars than there parents and think that there is something very wrong with that. (mind you it end up happening at my home as well). It was the post about the 2 kids driving very nice lexus and the parents both driving 10+ year old cars that got me thinking and I started making notes of it.

My car 2004 Nisson Setra Spec V (21s birthday gift)
brother car 2006 Accord EX (Xmas gift before turning 21 and a replacement for the 2005 that he flipped but it was all insurance money)
Sister 2006 Base base cobalt.
Mom 2003 Trail blazer
Dad 1999 Accord LX.
1995 Ram V-8 The family truck that we use as a work truck now (or in my case it be my car I be driving when I fly home next week)
Mind you everyone at my house agrees something is very wrong about the fact my dad is driving the worst car by far than everyone else

Right now i have a blue 98 Ford Escort but I'm going to sell it to my best friend and buy a sweet silver 99 VW Golf that I found at a dealership.

Someone mentioned reefs, I have these

Wife has a 2002 VW Passat Wagon, looks like this:

Plus a bike and one day a motorcycle

My Baby! All paid off last month:D I got a new job in January and bought this... It's quite the machine I must say, my first real 'fast fast fast car'. My trade-in was a G35 Coupe, nice car too.

Edit: For those that don't know (I got a few PM's, this a 2006 BMW M6, 500hp V-10 ;)

I have decided to name her, the black pearl. I hope I get this car when I get my licence, but I think it will be gone by then. Its had so much money recently put into it, it doesn't seem like its worth selling.

My parents said they would happily buy my neighbors 1996 Discovery I SE-7 because the lady said she would sell it to me. Its a rare but nice blueish green color with tan leather. I don't find it particularly attractive the way it is now, to make the Discovery I's look good they have to have a 2" lift and bigger tires (not HUGE, tires, just bigger). The thing is in great condition, it has 120k on it and it has been dealer serviced forever. It looks a bit like this one. (needs better looking wheels too)

I just love the commanding feel rovers have. They are up high and have outstanding visibility.

Yes they are assuming that they are out of the service bay long enough to enjoy them. After all the problems ive had with my RR i can honestly say i will never own another rover product again.

I will be trading my RR in for a X5, or maybe a Acura MDX if i cant wait till the new X5's are released later this year.

HA!!! You think 14 is bad??? My old 1987 Caddilac Fleetwood Brougham was the reason we had a spike in gas prices. She took 10 mpg, cuz I drove her hard and kept the throttle all the way open just to keep her up to speed. Great, great car. I loved her to death. Air-ride, cruise control, power everything. BEAUTIFUL!!!! My God why did I sell her? :( :( :(

Dude you think THAT is bad, my first car, a 1962 Ford Thunderbird, with a 396 6-Pack ( aka Tri-Power ) Under the hood got 4-6MPG LOL!

Right now i am driving a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon, which is easily the most fun car i've had the pleasure of driving. But my payments and insurance on it are just killing me, so im going to be getting into a '95-'98 VW GTi VR6 for a few years.

here she is -

I love my dad's car as well, it is a 2004 Audi A8L with the 4.2 V8, that car is so smooth and a pleasure to drive.

I find it more disturbing that every person at your house has a car and that there is even an 'extra' truck...

I think I posted the pic in the "Picture of your Car" thread but here goes:

1998 Honda Civic EX
Silver
Manual transmission

Bought it brand new in 1998, and I love it, but it is getting close to upgrade time. I was so pleased with this car and how few issues I have had with it so I am pretty sure my next car will be a Honda (most likely move up to an Accord).

1965 Mustang convertible - Caspian Blue, 2bbl 289, 3spd
1987 BMW 635CSi - Black, 5spd, M6 suspension
1987 BMW 325iS - Mazda Mariner Blue w/ white LeMans Stripes, 5spd, SpecE30 race car

99' Firebird with V8 engine
about 15,000 miles
T-Tops

My parents bought it for me a few weeks ago, I can start driving it in January when I get my permit.

Nice cars! You should sell your race car and buy a new M6, I absolutely love mine, nothing like a 500hp V-10 w/ 7spd tranny:eek:

I just hope I don't have any mechanicals....the M6 is like a computer, I can see pars being $. So far I only have 12,000km.

true but you have to rememeber 2 of those cars (my brother and mine) are not in the home town much. Our 2 cars are off with us at college.

The extra truck used to be my brothers until my parents replaced his with a new car because gas is expesive and my mom didnt trust the truck to keep working and either one of us by the far from home if our cars broke. (which is the reason my brothers and my car are both bought new off the lot. Our previose cars where not trust worthy off at college if something went wrong or even for making that long drive, well the truck maybe but it getting up in age. My car old car heck no).

After my brother got a new car my dad really like having a truck around at the house so he choose to keep it and now it only really used when they need the bed of the pick up truck. And it has a nice bonus of having an extra vechial there when one of the others is out of action for one reason or another. (like being 600 miles a way while I be home for 2 weeks).

But yeah it a luxury most families can not afford. I dont have a problem with that or see it as an issue. I just find it wrong when kids that the parents still support are all driving much nicer cars than one if not both of there parents.

Actually, I'm selling the Mustang and buying a Diesel tow vehicle. I just finished building the race car, I'm halfway through my provisional licensing races, and I'm working on becoming a BMWCCA instructor, so it's not going anywhere any time soon.

As for a new M6 -- considering I've invested less than $30,000 in all of my cars, I don't think I'm going to be buying a car that costs half as much as my house.
