So.. where are all the nay sayers at?

There are positives and negatives but disregarding the potential greatness of the iPhone coming out for Verizon b/c of Data+Voice is ignorant. Look at the big picture and realize that Verizon users are use to this "lack-of-feature."

Lets be realistic here. If you are used to something and then that is taken away from you, well that is all you are going to dwell on. Hell just look at these boards regarding the Macbook Pro no longer having an SD Slot or a Firewire port etc etc etc etc. Forget how fast the sucker is, it no longer has XYZ so I am going to complain about it.

Since this is a Verizon Iphone we are talking about, and since Verizon never had the voice+data feature, what loss is there? Only loss would be for the ex-At&t customers who convert to Verizon.

And apparently based upon the reactions in this forum, At&t customers will not switch to Verizon anyway. :rolleyes:

The other few millions of current Verizon customers won't give a crap about voice + data feature.

At the end of the day, thats all im woried about and the summer release will more than likely be 4G as they are advertising is coming soon

And 90 milion people deal with so called and service, before the Iphone and also now. I dnt think foks remember the time before VZW bought out Alltel, ATT was the largest carrier.

The companies are pretty much similar in size, and nobody is going to see many lossess, only gains

Now Sprint and T-Mobile.....Sucks for them

Not to be mean or anything, but weren't you the person around here who was one of the most outspoken about Verizon never getting the iPhone? I guess never say never. So many people said that Apple would never go Intel a few years back and it happened. So many people said that Apple would never make a CDMA iPhone and it happened.

For those of us that need the Verizon network because of our location this is great news.

I did say that, although I never said, never. In fact I said it up to the day before it was announced. I always knew Verizon was going to get it, just not this early and in the middle of a refresh cycle.

Overall I think of it as dumb move. Why not release it with the iPhone 5? That way you have the marketing for it (You know the whole V for Vericrap) and you have some people finishing up contracts.

I was expecting it this WWDC, not this month. But, hey, it's Apple's move.

Huge deal for me. I can finally get a smartphone that works well and is similar to something I want on a carrier that actually works where I live and work.

Edit - Oh before I forget, back in 2008 I did say Verizon would never get the iPhone, that was before I read the article on changed contract terms. Then another story it was.

Now, then are you repeating what other users say or what you've seen with your own eyes? Because if you are repeating, sad news I have for you.

Do you remember that guy "TallestSkil" that used the same avatar as this jav guy and sounded exactly the same? That's weird huh. He was eventually banned. We just gotta play the waiting game here too IMO.

You mean, Tallest? Yes, the issue has been brought up, and worry not, the mods know the truth; otherwise, I wouldn't be here.

However, if you want some comfort, TallestSkil is still here in MR, although under a different username.

God I hate people that can be so outspoken on an issue and when they are proven wrong they do all kinds of back peddling.
