So which case will you be using for your 4s?

Just ordered the Casecrown Metallic Glider case from Amazon. Can't wait to try it out.

Nice case. How firm is the rubber lip on the Marware DuoShell? I am not a fan of jelly cases with flexible rubber.

So, can anyone comment on what they think the SAFEST as far as possible damage to the phone, iphone case is?

Of course there is otterbox, which is pretty large and bulky, they do make some smaller versions.

then there are the vapor cases, which seem spendy and maybe not TOO safe, but the

Otterbox Commuter for the iP4S. I was told that the sensor was slightly moved just as a previous poster said, so I ordered the new version specifically for the 4S. It's nice that Otterbox lets you use multiple coupon codes; I ended up getting 30 percent off and free shipping!

To answer your question. I have to say otterbox is the safest, the defender version. I've seen an otterbox with iphone 4 win against a wall.

I never thought about getting one for myself in the past and am not sure if I will be able to deal with it for the life of my 4S. For $16 on amazon though I think it's worth it.
 
I ordered a Black/Chrome Incipio Feather Case for my iPhone 4S. I have one for my 3GS, the best case I ever owned for any of my iPhones.

I should have it tomorrow morning along with my 4S ;)

It's TPU I believe so while it will have some flexibility, I doubt it's anywhere near as flexible as silicone. Will probably be enough to give it just a little grip and provide a little impact absorption. Also it's got the little feet on the back so it won't slide all over the when you lay it down.

The rest of the case polycarbonate which is good but it will probably get scratched since I doubt they put any real scratch resistant coating on it (think glasses :)). Better that than the phone tho!

I'd cancel the order on the gsm backplate for iphone 4s if i were you.

iFixIt did a tear down of the verizon iphone 4 when it came out and mentions that they are "very similar but different"

I was looking at the same thing (as i wanted the black beveled plate or the lighter silver, looks like the gun metal is the only one we can get for the CDMA back)
 
Probably the Switcheasy Vulcan or iSkin aura. The iSkin aura was just announced yesterday so I'll wait for some reviews and then go from there.

Isn't the sensor on the front face of the phone? If it's where I recall, near the top of the phone on the front face, it shouldn't have any affect on the difference between an iphone 4 and 4S Commuter Case. The Defender has this issue, not the Commuter. I have a Commuter case in white and pink for the iPhone 4 waiting at home for it's new iPhone 4S. I don't think it'll have any trouble fitting, it's the universal case so it fits an iPhone 4 CDMA phone. The only thing I'm concerned about is the camera hole possibly blocking flash or camera viewing, but I can test that easily.

I bought this on Amazon the other day and its free shipping and no tax and came out to 16.99. It will fit the new iphone 4s perfect since the new phone is identical to the verizon iphone 4g.

Thanks for the heads up! I just emailed them to cancel the order :)

Just going to stick with the SGP Linear Crystal case in black for now
