What I was speaking of, although I see I failed to be specific, is an encrypted backup that can’t be overwritten, as is the case with Desktop. You can’t prevent iCloud from overwriting older backups.

Thanks for prompting me to be more specific.
Having access to archived backups via iOS and iPadOS is high on my wishlist ... Let's hope it's in a future update.

Anyone else have two handwashing reminders toggled on in settings and unable to turn it off?

Edited to add: I wiped and reinstalled DB 5 and no longer can turn on the hand washing reminder toggle.

I’ve just created a backup in iCloud and turned off Automatic Backup. Downloaded and installed profile for iOS14. Installing it now. Is it better to turn off “Automatic Updates“ in settings withBeta installed?
Keep automatic updates turned off during the beta. Always check with the forum to make sure a new beta can be installed properly and doesn’t send the watch in a never ending boot loop, before installing the latest beta.

BasicGreatGuy thank you. Auto backup turned off.
I do have a question about Sleep App. I set up alarm and Automatic Sleep setting. It seems to be working fine. When I set it up I selected a wake up tone. I want to try a different tone but don’t remember and can not find where I selected the original tone. Help please
This is my first Beta testing (I have tested other apps using TestFlight) and wanted to know when new betas come out, how do we get notified?

To change the alarm tone, swipe up from the bottom on the home screen to Control Center. Tap on the icon that resembles a clock. It should be between the flashlight and calculator icons. Once you tap the clock icon, tap Alarm, tap change on your alarm and scroll down until you see “Sounds” and Haptics” with the name of the current tone set. Tap that and you will see the options to pick from for a new wake tone.

Usually the betas are released every 2 weeks. And sometimes it can be as short as a week the closer it is to the final release. Keep checking MacRumors front page to know when it is time to download a new beta. And as was suggested, make sure and read some forum feedback before installing the new beta.

Are you talking about the homescreen on the Watch or phone? I tried both and don’t have a calculator icon but i do have a flashlight. Can you post a screenshot?

OK. Found it now. I did not have that icon selected in Control Center. Also I have to swipe down from top right corner of screen to get Control Center. Swiping up from th bottom takes me to App Sorter.
Thank you again.

With the latest update I no longer have "Date" complication on any of my watch faces and it does not show as a option on the complications list 😠

Have you uninstalled the native Apple Calendar app on your iPhone?
On iOS14 / WOS7 the date complication is part of the Calendar application which is therefore required to display it

Hi !

I installed the public beta and it killed my AW4. (red exclamation mark at restart).

Sent it to AppleCare for a downgrade but they told me the watch had another problem (?!) and wanted to charge me 341 euros to repair it, I said no (too much for 2 years old device repair). I love this red exclamation mark, I have to, it's the only thing my watch can display now !

Think about it before installing next WatchOS beta. ;)

Latest Public Beta is draining my AW5 battery at a much higher rate. Too bad because the prior versions were doing fantastic with about 2% drain per hour with AOD on. If apple could get to that I’d live with it. There’s hope.
