iPhone X So Xr’s screen is only 720p...

720p is still 720p after 500 posts so yeah it is still an issue.
The plus iPhones have a higher ppi. So not every iPhone since the 4.
What does it matter when you don’t even own the device? Who cares if it’s 720, who cares if it’s overpriced, no ones forcing you to buy one.
Don’t get why all of your posts are about trashing the xr.

It should’ve at least had the same pixel density as the 8+. The XS still would have a superior resolution.
Same PPI as past iPhones but cost more than past iPhones. You get to pay more but don't get more.
PPI is far from the only thing that goes into it. Although that probably doesn't really need to be pointed out as it's fairly obvious.

I had used both 1080 and 2k phones, 2k is better for sure. I never even bought a cheapest $100 720p phone yet. I heard a 720p phone charges for $899 US dollars, must be a scam.

I don't get the point of this. The screen isn't even 720p, it's 828p. That's more than the regular 8. Even still, the fact that the screen is LCD and not OLED should be more of a deciding factor than the resolution. I used both the XS and XR side-by-side, and I could definitely tell the difference between the LCD and OLED, but the resolution did not matter. Only people who care about these differences just stare at spec sheets, not the device...
Still has marginally less PPI. But i agree, when i upgrade in going Xr. Pentile stinks
I've seen the XS and the XR right next to one another a few times now, but it's hard to see a difference. Every. Time. It's there, don't get me wrong, but it's not a 400 dollar difference. Plus I now have an iPhone 7 and it's plenty sharp for me. The XR definately looked better than my 7. Which is what is the comparison should be for me. Tried Youtube on the XR, tried games, but I would honestly believe you if you said the screen was 1080p, or even better. But I guess that makes me an Apple fanboy, or whatever.
Under close scrutiny with side by side display text comparisons, the "450 PPI pentile bollocks" is actually sharper than 320 PPI, so I'm not sure what your point is here. Do you have the proper PPI with the sub pixel reductions instead of the erroneous ones we've seen?
The Green channel contains all 458 PPI, which is the most important since it picks up the highest amount of discernible resolution with our eyes (regardless of sub pixel reductions):

That takes you to a Google search that doesn't prove anything in any of the results.
The iPX has a sharper diamond pentile arrangement due to a denser configuration.
The Anandtech one especially is revealing on how non credible the OP was there. Did you bother reading the responses to that thread? It's pretty hard to comment on this, since you aren't linking to one specific article or thread to make a basis for your claim.

I've seen the X and 8 side by side in person and i preferred 8's screen, despite lower resolution
Having owned both, I would say the iPhone 8 is fairly close to the X, even though the disparity differences between LCD and OLED, I’m actually surprised how well the 8 holds in terms of comparison of color calibration and brightness against the X.
Apple LCD, Apple OLED.... neither of the two exist. How about people called the displays what they actually are? LG LCD and Samsung OLED.
So many people here claiming to see no difference between a iP8 display and a iPX display. Are these people just staring at the home screen and icons? As soon as you play a high res video (1080p+), the difference is more than apparent. Text on a white page? More than apparent.
Try putting an iP8 next to a Galaxy S9, S10, LG G8 or now, the OnePlus 7 Pro.. play the same 4K video on all and please tell me how the iP8 display holds up.

It’s funny how it bothers some people so much that others aren’t too bothered by the XR screen.
The funniest part to me is how some people say “the LCD looks the same as the OLED to me” or “it doesn’t bother me” and then others tell them that they’re wrong .
Buy the product you like and one that you want to use. There’s no right or wrong answer.
