This looks to be a pretty good rumor

Basically the iPad2 is going to have a new thinner antiglare screen but no resolution change.
It will have a dual core ARM9 cpu running at 1.2 G and the new SGX543 dual core graphics technology which is 200~300% more powerful than iPhone 4.
It will have a front camera and a 1megpixel rear camera and 512Mb ram

I think that is worth upgrading to.
processor and ram is enough for me to upgrade, every other features will be bonus.

guess, my decision of selling it was very timely, got great price of 450 and now ebay and cl is flooded with 300-350.

ready to pre-order on mar 2nd. :D

You can't need an iPad so much if you can go without one for 3 months. Why bother getting another one?

This is an interesting comment/question. After 8 months of ownership, I gave away my iPad and have living ipadless for 2 months now.

I'm using my iPhone a lot more, and my other computers too. But I would much prefer to use the iPad, if I had it. I don't regret gifting it, and while I miss it, I have to admit that I don't "need" it.

Looking forward to iPad 2 and would probably buy the warmed over version with just speed/memory/camera bumps, but only if the price is no higher than it is now. If the price goes up then it better be killer...

I just sold mine on Amazon.com for $500 USD. $475 left over after Amazon took their cut. I'm ready for iPad 2 now. Glad I sold it when I did, because I'm sure that the resale value would have fallen off a cliff on March 2 after the iPad Event.

Ebay buyers constantly surprise me to the point I even feel guilty (kinda). I listed my 32GB WiFi iPad (along with some accessories) the day the invites were official expecting to lose 15-20% but last second there was a bidding war and somehow made ALL my money back.

So IF someone is looking to replace their iPad with the next version then now is the time because the used market is about to get flooded.

I too just sold my iPad (64GB Wi-Fi) for about $80.00 less than what I bought it for. I wouldn't have sold it, but I want the 3G version as I noticed I use my iPad a lot in places that don't have Wi-Fi. The added RAM and Processor is a plus as well. If I didn't realize my need for 3G I probably wouldn't have sold it. I am also speculating in my own mind that Apple will indeed bump the resolution up a small notch. Not drastic, but a small notch.

For me I've waited for the iPad 2 to upgrade because I need/want the 3G version, and this is the perfect opportunity to do so.

Just got the email that my iPad sold on eBay! At the moment I am regretting it but I'll sure be happier with the second generation iPad!

Keeping my ipad because you won't be able to notice much of a difference until they start developing apps that take advantage of the updated specs. I bought a $500 32gb wifi refurb a couple months back so I wouldn't take as much of a hit on the resale value.

I would rather lose $50-100 than go weeks without my pad (months in the OP's case). I don't think making an extra fifty bucks is worth the sacrifice.

So you buy it then sell it and now you are just going to go without it for months?

Why did you buy it then in the first place? Its clear you dont need it.

Lets see ig I use the ipad about 2/3 year thats 499 / 36 = 20/13$ a month. I gladly pay that to use my ipad.

Nobody 'needs' an ipad... good grief.

Then you shouldnt have bought it in the first place. I use my ipad, if I didnt have it I would buy something else to fill in.

Buying consumer products you dont care you use seem a waist of money to me.

Nobody really "needs" any apple products. If you were only trying to fill in a need- word processing for school, power point etc, you would just get a cheap PC. Even then you don't absolutely "need" it. You could just go to the public library.

With that said, I hope Apple brings something "magical" to market on Wednesday. I want to upgrade my 1st gen ipad, so I am actually hoping for some amazing specs. If it's sub-magical, I'll just keep my 1st gen. It's a win-win situation really.

Damn why am I having so much trouble selling my 32gb wifi! I sold my 16gb wifi for $450 but no emails on craigslist for the 32... :(:(:(
