I don't think any of us truly cared if you sold your iphone to get a blackberry... Sorry to be rude but that would be like me posting in the forums today I decided against the bacon cheeseburger and ordered a salad instead. No one would care and in fact would get a bunch of rude posts asking why did you even start a post telling us something we don't really care about. But congrats on your purchase of going back in tech instead of forward.... Might should have considered a BB Torch at least.

Considering this is an iPhone forum not a cheeseburger forum and this discussion is regarding the iPhone, your comparison is retarded. Thanks though.

Just feel like throwing it out there that I sold my iPhone 4 on craigslist and got the Bold 9700.

Don't get me wrong, the iPhone 4 is awesome but there's something about the iPhone that I just kind of got sick of. And obviously the new one, whenever it may actually be coming out, will have a fixed antenna and hopefully be less fragile. (I live in a good reception area so I didn't really have to deal with the antenna, but if I held my fingers in the spot the bars would eventually go down. For the record, never had a dropped call - and never dropped the phone)

As for the iPhone 4 being too fragile, I constantly felt like I had to baby it. I'm hoping when they make a new one Apple will use a different material. Seeing all the shattered phones on this forum sucked.

Again, not knocking the phone, because it was sweet, I just wanted to try something else for a while. For what it's worth, I still have my 3G on 3.whatever.whatever. And since I'm on a family plan with 5 lines, I'm sure if I want to within the next two years I can get one of the other iPhones.

:apple:

J/W, you said you switched to a Bold because there was "something about the iPhone that you just kinda got sick of". Did you ever figure out what exactly that thing was? From your post it seems like you were either annoyed with seeing bars drop even though your calls and data didn't, or you didn't like the responsibility of having to take care of an expensive piece of tech.

I'm just asking because it's interesting to me as someone who uses both devices daily. There's nothing I do on my Blackberry that my iPhone doesn't do better (not to be confused with "nothing my Blackberry can do that my iPhone can't"...I just don't really get any use out of the Blackberry specific features e.g. BBM, esp. since I have unlimited texting on my iPhone), but there's definitely a lot my iPhone can do that my Blackberry can't. Of course it comes down to personal preference, but I guess I'm just curious since I can't really think of any specific reasons why anyone outside of the corporate world would choose a Blackberry over and iP4 if given the choice.

The antenna thing did bother me just knowing it existed and knowing they'll definitely fix it in the future, but it was also the fact that I didn't feel like having to baby the fragile phone so much too. And quite frankly, I was just sick of it (just the iPhone in general, not just 4) so I preferred to switch.

I'll be the first to admit the iPhone clearly does more and yes it's even easier, but like you even said it's just my personal preference at this time, and the quick easy money helped make the decision as well. A lot of my friends both home and school have BBM so that's a plus as well, but like I said in a previous post even that is over-hyped. I'm in my last year of college, so the corporate world looms anyway.

Fair enough. Totally forgot you came out about what, $550 on top when all was said and done. Cheers to you, a phone is a phone at the end of the day.

One more q -- did you have much invested in iOS? I mean, money spent on Apps and music? I know music can be converted, but it's a bit of a hassle. Or do you have another iDevice that can use all of that stuff?

I have an iPod classic and my iPhone 3G still. I have 0 purchased music and definitely less than $20 worth of apps. iMovie and Shazam Encore being the two most expensive ones. I probably used iMovie once, and Shazam all the time, but I have that on my BB now.

One favorite app I do miss is 1Password though. I got that when it was free and see that it's like $15 now. They have apps like that for BB, I just need to find the right one. One is even included I think. Gotta check it out.

To all the "Cool Story bro" repliers, how old are you??? 10??? These dumb kids have taken over forums everywhere.

You're just bitter because now you have a crappy BB.

Yeah you caught me big bear!

I could see people 12 and under doing it. That's the prime "copy cat" age. I mean one person said it, so why shouldn't 15 others in the same exact thread?
If I ever decided to switch from the iPhone...you'd never know because I'm not an attention whore.
You should totally try it. The attention I'm getting is awesome.

It's a way of saying "I don't care" sarcastically.

I doubt they're 10.

Move on. Or just type "I don't care," but that post would be more useless than the bro one. So basically shut the **** up?

Christ you're annoying.

You mean it's actually an noncontributing post, aka trolling, which is against the rules.

Actaully, I meant it was a way of saying "I don't care" sarcastically.

Trolling is the feeding of negative emotions from other people. I wasn't trolling at all.

It still doesn't take away the fact that it's redundant and non-contributive, especially when five posters in a row say it.

You're right. But still, it's kind of hard NOT to say it when someone posts a topic like this.

What if made a topic about how I stopped buying burgers from McDonalds, and started buying burgers from Burger King? Kind of similar to this.

Glad you decided to go with the blackberry. I hope you're satisfied with it and its too bad the iPhone didn't work out for you. Did you end up making a profit off that iPhone?

Did you really just make the ****ing burger reference again? You clearly don't read. This is an IPHONE FORUM NOT A CHEESEBURGER FORUM. THIS IS MEANT TO DISCUSS THE IPHONE NOT CHEESEBURGERS. Such a dumbass comparison.

Oh wait I already said that.

Oh okay now you have come to that conclusion, it's used to discuss iPhones...so let me ask you this question. Is a Blackberry an iPhone?
